Lanzhou Lamian, also known as Lanzhou Hand-Pulled Noodles, is a type of Chinese noodle dish that originated in Lanzhou, the capital city of Gansu province in China. It is a popular street food in China and can be found in many Chinese restaurants around the world.
The process of making Lanzhou Lamian is an art form in itself. The dough is made from wheat flour, water, and sometimes eggs. The dough is then hand-pulled, stretched, and folded in a specific way to create the thin, chewy noodles. The noodles are then boiled and served in a clear soup broth, which is made from beef bones, spices, and herbs. Thinly sliced beef, green onions, and cilantro are often added as toppings.
Nouilles KungFu earns praise for fresh, handmade noodles made on site, flavorful broths, and generous portions at reasonable prices. The open kitchen and the option to customize noodles by thickness, along with fast, attentive service in a cozy, small setting, contribute to an authentic and welcoming dining experience. Noodles are repeatedly described as chewy and well prepared, with many noting that the broth remains rich without becoming greasy as it cools. Beef and Lanzhou style soups are standout favorites, and many reviewers say they would definitely return, even as a few mention occasional longer waits, a busy atmosphere, or rooms that can get quite hot. Overall the reviews converge on high quality, consistent flavors, and strong value, making Nouilles KungFu a go-to spot for hand pulled noodles on the south shore.
The food was good, the service was quick & the server was super nice & friendly 10/10 would recommend. The noodles are made by hand in front of you too which definitely makes it all the better!
Noodle dishes were delicious which tasted better than the Mtl Chinatown noodle house. Excellent service by the server. Plan to return to try different food in the menu.

I love their hand made noodles, particularly their Tan Tan noodles. Service is great & fast thanks to their QR code that let's you order. The place is small but good enough for this neighborhood. Pricing is pretty fair.
All hail the mighty gluten! Great little noodle joint. The noodles are made fresh & offer 7 types of thickness & cuts.
The fresh braids of wheat flour offer chewy noodles & the kitchen generously fill your bowl with carby delight & flavourful broths (a regular size is usually enough although a large is not impossible to finish). We love the triangle & thick noodles. The cooking of the thick noodles is not always consistent (sometimes overcooked) but they have the triangle noodle cooking down pack. Personally, the triangle ones offer the greatest slurpping experience as they gently glide into your mouth with maximum surface to soup/flavour ratio without splashing as much as the other noodles. Call it efficient SLURPaerodynamic. Extra points for the great lip & mouth feel because of the extra ridges in the triangle cut.
I suspect there is a good amount of MSG because I am quite thirsty after eating there but it does not stop me from going back.
The meat to noodle ratio is not the greatest for the traditional bowl (beef slices) but it is acceptable for the braise pork or the chicken coconut broth ones.
The eggs are very forgettable & we only take them for extra protein.
Side dishes:
spicy cucumber one is not that spicy at all & the cucumber is crunchy & gives a refreshing experience.
The edamame is great too & fun to eat. Good depth with the preserved greens in it.
The potatoe sliver salad is our favorite though. Not bad balance of soft & crunchy but could be crunchier. Good taste.
Seaweed: beware. It is very potent & a bit hard to eat (loooog strands). So it you do not like sea tasting stuff or hard to pick stuff, stay away.
The mini lamb skewers are great. Too many times, I find other restaurants overdo it with the cummin not here. It is very good. 1 basket is usually not enough (although they are decently generous). Could be a bit less overcooked but not dry in any sense of it. Really like it!
Prices are right, portions are very decent, parking is easy. If it open until late, it would be a great late night fix & would consider going even more often.
Good job, Kung Fu Noodle team!

Excellent.
The waiter on sunday gave very good service. Food is excellent. You can choose exactly the kind of noodle you want from thin to wide. Algae salad too salty but still good. Prices are fair.
Will come back.
Great noodle soups, at a fair price too. You can customize the noodle type, which is nice, & they're made on the spot. Unfortunately, the place was very cold, like if they're trying to save on the heating cost.

MEILLEUR RESTAURANT 🤤😋
Lovely little place. Pretty crowdy & I understand why! Food is purely amazing & service is great. We can see the making of the noodles from the window showing the kitchen. I absolutely love this place & will come back
The perfect remedy on a cold day! Always have a great experience at this restaurant - my family & I will drive all the way to Brossard to eat there because their hand pulled noodles are that good! I recommend the homemade braised beef noodles. You can customize your noodles & also the ingredients in your bowl.
I've been to KungFu Noodle before a few times & knew that on a cold day like today this would hit the spot! The place is located in a small neighborhood mall & has really easy parking access. It's clean, the tables are a tad on the small side but otherwise comfortable.
The star here is the hand-pulled noodles. You can choose from a variety of noodle dishes & select your preferred thickness, with a handy reference on one of the walls.
We were three & each ordered some braised beef soups. The broth is satisfying, flavourful. The beef is very tender & the noodles were just the right amount of tender but chewy.
Never got totally comfortable grabbing them with chopsticks but the effort is worth it. Part of the experience is the view of the person making the noodles fresh to order & the sound of the twist & snap can at times make you jump when you aren't expecting it but it's fun to watch. A lunch spot that never disappoints!
We had the Lanzhou soup & the Dan Dan noodles, both were delicious, generous portions. Highly recommend ! The service was fast & our waiter was very helpful since it was our first time.
Amazing little spot. Noodles are made in house, right in front of you everyday! The broths are amazing , as well as the service. An amazing spot, you need to check out!!
Finally tried this hand-pulled noodle restaurant near me & it completely exceeded my expectations. The broth was so delicious! Light yet so flavourful. The noodles were perfectly chewy, the meat tender & the fast service was a bonus. Everything hit the spot, & I'll definitely be coming back.
