This is one of my favourite lunch spots in the neighbourhood. The café is always clean, well-decorated, & welcoming, & the staff are consistently friendly.
I always order the grilled chicken sandwich, & it's always delicious. The chicken Caesar salad is another great option, & if you have a sweet tooth, I highly recommend the lobster tail pastries & the pastel de nata-they're both excellent.
The food is consistently good, which is one of the reasons I keep coming back. Whenever I have friends or family visiting from out of town, this is one of the first places I bring them for lunch.
It does get quite busy on weekends, so I usually visit during the week. The only thing to keep in mind is that there isn't consistent dedicated customer parking, as the lot next door is used for seasonal markets, so you'll likely need to park on the street. Overall, I'm really happy to have this place in the neighborhood & would definitely recommend it.
I stopped by this spot for lunch & desserts, & everything was fantastic! The sandwiches were fresh, packed with flavor. The pastries were equally amazing. The oat bar was a nice balance of sweet & hearty. Friendly service & a cozy vibe made the experience even better. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to!
My mom & I visited Nonnina's with our dog this morning 🐶. The personnel at the cash was quite empathetic & apologized that my dog cannot stay inside the restaurant- which I have foreseen with people having allergies & everything.
When we arrived around 10:20, it was too early for the lunch menu (which starts at 11:00), so my mom decided to stay inside the restaurant, while my dog & I stayed outside on the tables & chairs set-up out front.
While we were waiting for the lunch menu to be ready, we ordered croissants with cheese 🥐. When our order was ready, I didn't realize that mine came with ham (I do not eat pork), so I went back to the personnel at the cash & made him aware of it. Not only did he prepare me a new one with only cheese, but he also let my mom keep the one with ham.
The whole restaurant has such a nice vibe to it & having personnel like that man at the cash (I didn't ask for his name), makes the whole experience even better! The mozzarella tomato 🍅 & mortadella buratta were delicious!!! The vanilla latte was quite good ☕? (per my mom).
Plus, the location is about 5 minutes walk from the Lachine Canal, which is so nice for bird watching!
Had lunch here & everything was just really good. The sandwiches were super fresh, packed with plenty of meat & veggies, & the bread was perfect. The fries were crispy & addictive & the salad was very fresh!
It's simple food done really well, & you can taste the quality. Definitely a spot I'll come back to.
I have been trying to eat here for awhile but my hours never worked with theirs. Finally bought a Italian sausage sandwich with a salad for lunch & it is one of the best out there. I didn't read the ingredients so I found out quick that it was very spicy. I love spicy & hot food so really enjoyed the tasteful meal. All food is made on site & everything looked fresh making it hard to choose. I was greeted with a hello & a smile & was served with respect & courtesy which are things I note when being served by the public. I highly recommended.
Great sandwiches, delicious cannoli, nicely located near the farmer's market & a small walk from the park, we often get our lunch & have picnics by water. It can be really busy at lunch time, but worth the wait.
I always have the Italian meat sub & it's incredibly filling & yummy. My husband really likes the spicy chicken (the mayo is spicy not really the chicken) & he really loves the Natas (Portuguese custard tart).
Review long over due! I have ordered almost everything on the menu.....my go-to lunch place. From Gelato to a salade & everything in-between. You will have trouble choosing but that is ok...you WILL be back!
