Food is mid (burnt a touch on top) but that's not what you're here for. Vibes are immaculate very cute, open space but comfortable interior. Server was probably not in a happy mood today

Eating a smoked meat at Nickels Deli adds another layer of emotion. Nickels started back in 1990 as a classic North American family diner, co-founded by Céline Dion & a group of friends. Even the name comes from her lucky number 5, the nickel. Franchement je suis vraiment déçu ce que j'ai vu comme photos sur menu & ce que j'ai reçu comme plats du vrai congelé ni goût ni rien ci je pouvais ne pas donner d'étoiles je l'aurai fait 👎🏻👎🏻

Service & food were amazing. The atmosphere make me feel in the'back to the future movie' & the food was as good as it was in the 80's. Specially the coke lol.
Joke apart our waitress name was Sondés & she was great!

Le Nickels Beaubien est un très bon restaurant, j'aime vraiment y déjeuner avec mon grand père. L'intérieur du restaurant est magnifique aussi.

The service is terrible; they treat you like they're doing you a favor. Besides, they're not very friendly.It's not that cheap, but what I did like was the place itself.

Très bons plat… la viande est juste excellent & le gâteau Céline au chocolat c'est une tuerie. J'ai adoré le service & l'ambiance de ce restaurant

everything is good, save for the smash burger. It could use a sauce. Other than that, portion sizes are great.

This restaurant has got neat decor & the food is perfectly fine. I had the smoked meat spaghetti & a few beers, & it was pretty good I won't lie. The kitchen was kind of slow to bring out the food though. But anyways I've eaten here a few times & have found it to be a dependable spot that won't blow your mind but won't break your wallet either.

Just ordered a simple pizza & a coke.
Total woth tax & tip, 21$
The poutine was horrible & the fountain coke a joke, half ice ...
I don't usually eat at nickels...
That will not become a habit.

At first, everything seemed perfect. The food was tasty, & our waitress Josianne was friendly, attentive, & made us feel very welcome. We ordered the entrecôte & fish & chips + poutine. The dessert, gâteau praliné, was really good too & Josianne even gave us the name of the distributor, which we appreciated. Additionally, we were impressed by how fast the service was!
But unfortunately, things took a turn. We saw mice running around the restaurant, which was really disturbing & made us question the hygiene standards. Someone, possibly the manager, did come over to apologize for that. But for a restaurant, the presence of mice is simply unacceptable.
Then, when it was time to pay, we found out they weren't accepting gift cards due to a'technical issue.' We only learned this at the end of the meal, which was frustrating, especially since it seems the issue has been ongoing. There was no prior notice, which felt misleading & disappointing.
Overall, the experience left us disappointed. We don't recommend this location & probably won't return anytime soon.
