Tried to order takeout, wasn't ready when they said it would be. Poor woman at the desk looked ready for a meltdown. Guess they're really understaffed. After trying to talk to the manager, I can see why.

I've written a review in the last week, but I noticed it was taken down.
Terrible service, from the management to the staff. If you're not happy, they tell you straight out, you don't like you don't have to eat there.
I had their Cantonese Chow Mein, take out, the worst I've ever eaten, absolutely no sauce, no taste & I didn't like the fact that they put baby shrimps in it, I've only ever had it with the large ones, big difference.
When I called & complained, the manager told me, that there was salt & MSG, & I should add Soya Sauce 😲 I thought MDG was banned. He said the recipe was altered recently.
Didn't offered me any compensation, that was an expensive meal. When I complain about it the service, he couldn't care less. & I was visiting from out of town.
I WOULD NEVER GO BACK ThERE & I WOULDNT RECCOMEND IT.
DONT ORDER , CANTONESE CHOW MEIN... YOU'LL BE SORRY.
THEY DONT VALUE THEIR CUSTOMERS😥😥

le New- Verdun est un restaurant établi depui s des décénnies. la tradition se poursuit de père en fils & les gens qui y travaillent forment une veritable famille. Danielle, la se4rveuse du déjeuner-dîner , est une femme remarquable. Toujours souriante & dévouée à sa clientele, elle offre un service digne de mention . Jelui donne 150% sur 100%. Juste pour la encontrer, le déplacement en vaut le coup. La nourriture est très bonne & tjours fraîche. Les mets chinois sont tous fait maison, rien n'est acheté prepare d'avance. Un restaurant `visiter sans faute. Bravo aux propriétaire & à tous les employés (es)

I've been a patron of this restaurant for years. I've lived in Verdun all of my life. I remember going there as a child, going to hang out there as a teenager, ordering out when I lived further away... But the service & quality have only gone down through the years & with my latest experience I've decided that I'm not going back or ordering from them again.

The waitress was petulant, arrogant & generally unhelpful. The "new" menu was reduced to remove as much options as they could (for example, they only have one size of poutine while in restaurant, while it's possible to have different formats on take-out or delivery. It's no longer possible to have a pitcher of soda. It was a whole issue to split a Chinese combo between two people). A friend asked if he could have his meal in a take-out container because he'd have to run after having a bite or two but she told him that it was impossible. I asked for clarifications: it was possible for him to have it in a take-out container, but if he chose to take it that way he was forbidden to eat there. Flippantly, she told us that if we weren't happy we could leave or talk to the owner (while I understand she might not have the executive power to satisfy our demands, there is such a thing as customer service). All this & in the end, the quality of our food was poor. Not worth the expense at all.

Needless to say, we are not going back. At this point, you'd be happier going to McDonalds.

Danielle, le serveuse du déjeuner-dîner est une vraie professionnelle toujours prête à se donner à 100% pour satisfaire se clientèle. je connais très bien ce restaurant , les patrons, très serviables et chaleureux, disponibles et consciencieux de service offert. Allez à ce restaurant, est un vrai plaisir autant pour le grands que les petits. Bon appétit

Très bon restaurant, cependant, la serveuse n'a pas le sourire du tout! Nous avons subi sa mauvaise humeur le samedi 15 juin 2013. D'autres clients sont arrivés & ont demandé dans quelle section elle était pour ne pas l'avoir... ça en dit long!!!

Ça fait plus de 8 ans que nous faisons affaire avec eux & c'est la dernière fois se soir. Vers 2am, nous avons commandé des ailes de poulet en repas & le livreur est arrivé avec une facture qui devait être payé cash. Habituellement on nous demande quel sera le mode de paiement, mais l'homme qui a pris la commande (je crois que c'était le proprio.) à oublier de le demandé & nous n'avons pas pensé le mentionner non plus. Alors, il m'a appelé en nous disant des bêtises comme quoi c'était à moi de le mentionner, qu'il avait eu 200 commandes au moins dans la journée & qu'on était les seul avec qui il avait eu des problèmes. Il était vraiment mal commode & il m'a dit que le livreur devait revenir chercher la facture, mais je lui ai dit que ça ne me dérangeais pas en autant que ma commande ne goûterait pas le réchauffé ou ne serait pas refroidit, mais il n'a pas voulu rien entendre alors, j'ai laissé faire la commande. Dorénavant, même si la nourriture est bien, je commanderai ailleur! C'est à eux de demandé toute les informations au téléphone & on ne traite pas ses clients de la sorte!

Faux. C'est à vous de ire quel mode de paiement vous allez utiliser. Chiâler pour chiâler, passez donc votre temps à faire autre chose que critiquer des gens qui se dévouent depuis plus de 50 ans à satisfaire les palais des verdunnois et cuezx et celles des alentoures.

The menu has A LOT to offer & extremely affordable.
Their specialty is Greek, but other items on the menu are just as good.

For (I believe) 13-14$ you get a soup, main course (LARGE portions), dessert & coffee. You'd normally need to bring a doggy bag back home.

The service can be improved by hiring more waitresses/waiters, they work hard & it shows.
The food is always pleasant & done properly.

The menus are sticky & the washroom are very very small & it looks dirty (could be from old age though), the restaurant isn't anything special to look at, the decor is old but could feel homey to some.

Overall: Lunch with a friend or supper because you're too lazy to cook, it's perfect. I wouldn't go there for my birthday, a large group or for any special occasion. Food is great & the prices are good!

nouveau verdun ses un tres bon restaurant du coin on image tres bien surtou la pizza & les club sandwich excellent toute la nourriture elle est excelletente il a pas grand chose dire sur restaurant la le service est excellent
