I grew up in Verdun & New Verdun was always a staple for classic Canadian/Quebec cuisine. My boyfriend often gets the steak sub & they load it up with meat & it taste great.
Today I ordered the Chinese meal #3 for 2 & it was EXACTLY what I was hoping for.
I don't recall ever being a huge fan of the food 15-20 years ago either they got new chefs/new management all or none of the above but they have really upped their game for Chinese food. Absolutely will be ordering again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐View more

Ordered a meat lover pizza & some Chinese food #4 for one, about an hour ago. I opened the pizza & I was thinking pepperoni & cheese WTF I called the resto & he said everything was under the cheese I felt so stupid.but on a better note , The pizza was absolutely delish, the Chinese food was piping hot when it showed & it was also great, & the delivery guy was very kind. A++ definitely would recommend. Paid 69.00 which I find pretty expensive but the food was honestly great no complaints.View more

How can this restaurant have 4.5 star.. 5 stars minimum.. Every.. thing is good.. The chinese is better than chinese.. We should called it new verdun nothing else. They make everything better than everything better & oh... consistently. Not one time , not one time i was disappoint or felt i had less portions or less fresh... Honestly BLOWN AWAY!!!
I couldn’t believe how fresh & incredibly delicious the Chinese food is here.
Homemade sauces, homemade egg-rolls, the General Tao was fried to perfection… this place is a DIAMOND in disguise. I would never have guessed they have the best Chinese food in MTL, but yes, they do.
Even the chicken fried rice, & noodles are amazing. Like I said, I couldn’t believe it.

I've been a patron of this restaurant for years. I've lived in Verdun all of my life. I remember going there as a child, going to hang out there as a teenager, ordering out when I lived further away... But the service & quality have only gone down through the years & with my latest experience I've decided that I'm not going back or ordering from them again.
The waitress was petulant, arrogant & generally unhelpful. The "new" menu was reduced to remove as much options as they could (for example, they only have one size of poutine while in restaurant, while it's possible to have different formats on take-out or delivery. It's no longer possible to have a pitcher of soda. It was a whole issue to split a Chinese combo between two people). A friend asked if he could have his meal in a take-out container because he'd have to run after having a bite or two but she told him that it was impossible. I asked for clarifications: it was possible for him to have it in a take-out container, but if he chose to take it that way he was forbidden to eat there. Flippantly, she told us that if we weren't happy we could leave or talk to the owner (while I understand she might not have the executive power to satisfy our demands, there is such a thing as customer service). All this & in the end, the quality of our food was poor. Not worth the expense at all.
Needless to say, we are not going back. At this point, you'd be happier going to McDonalds.
