Review Summary

Neotokyo NAKAGIN is widely praised for its vibrant atmosphere, stylish interior, and energetic vibe that transports diners to an authentic Japanese izakaya setting. Many guests highlight the high quality of the food, specifically noting the delicious sashimi, yakisoba, and unique creative dishes like the Ringo appetizer. While the service is frequently described as attentive, welcoming, and knowledgeable, some visitors feel the price point is high relative to the small, tapas-style portions. Although a few reviewers expressed dissatisfaction with the overall value or the pace of food service, the majority of diners appreciate the attention to detail and consider it a memorable, personality-driven addition to the local culinary scene that warrants repeat visits.

Excellent restaurant & service impeccable. Tout ce que nous avons goûté était excellent. Vrai coup de coeur pour le curry & le Hamashi Toro Sashimi ! Nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir.

Visited twice, impressed both times. Love the tender Crudo tuna, & the surprising Ringo (apples in savoury sauce). Found the Agadashi Tofu too sweet for me, but an interesting twist on the classic. Excited to try more plates, because you can taste that they care.

First time & not the last! Food was amazing & the prices were really decent. We especially really enjoyed the yakisoba, ebi chili & the skewers!! Service was top notch, our waitress Fannie was really great & helpful. Will be back for sure!

La nourriture est bonne mais c'est cher & trop bruyant à mon goût 🤷🏼?♀?

Great vibes, great service. Food was very tasty but small portions. I recommend 3-4 dishes per head. The chicken wings were perfection. BUTABARA was top, but quite small. YAKISOBA best bang for your buck. Least favourite was the TSUKUNE, I woulda tried more of the fried options.

This new Japanese Izakaya inspired restaurant is a must go. We loved every single meals we ordered & food was coming pretty fast. Our waitress (asian girl) was so sweet & caring. She took her time to explain how the menu works & was describing every meals throughly (we could tell she knows her japanese food & alcohol really well). We will definitely be back soon!

Not impressed, 13$ Asahi draft is bordeline overpriced, it's tapas style japanese & cold small plate for 15-30$ is exagerated. We basically pay for their new decor. I won't return unfurtanately & prefer the downtown location with ramen.
