I normally don't go to this kind of place, as it always makes much more sense to me to pay for more tangible values. I only went because of a friend's birthday & that she is into fine dining, so it was my treat. I was also curious about her tastes too.

First we were told they charge a $5 per person to drink their filtered water. The waitress boasted a bit about their superior filter & that apparently justified the price. I'd usually back out when I hear this since I take it as a bad sign setting the tone for what comes after, but it was too late at that point. Sorry to say, but the water machine at my office makes crisper water.

Then comes the food. You got to be careful here as this place serves overpriced snacks, so your hunger might not be satiated in the end unless you order more. I let my partner order as she knew more about what was on the menu as an experienced foodie, but I ended up regretting it when I saw the $300 bill ($150/person) + tips starting at 18%. Now I can say with absolute confidence a $15 fried rice with a 100% tip at the nearby Chinatown is a much better deal, & does a better job satisfying hunger than $150 of small handrolls & miso soup in a tiny cup. The food didn't taste extraordinary either, & sushi anywhere else has similar flavors (not to mention more filling).

My partner even apologized to me as she didn't know it'd be this pricey for such a small amount of food. I was fine with it solely because it was her birthday. The way I see it, this is a place for people to feel like they are in slightly higher society, & of course being able to update their Instagram account.

For anyone who focuses mostly on the food itself, this isn't the place. This experience simply reinforced my notion that hole-in-the-wall & no-frills restaurants are much more realistic choices. Sadly, this place just reminds me of jokes like how a dash of chocolate on a plate with a leaf on the side can cost double digits.

Très sympa ce bar à sushi. J'ai été sur l'heure du dîner toute seule. Menu très intéressant & rassasiant. L'accueil est chaleureux ils m'ont mise à l'aise & les rolls sont délicieux & frais. J'y retourne définitivement mais en soirée la prochaine fois.

This handroll spot is an absolute gem. Every roll is made fresh to order, & you can taste the quality in every bite-from the perfectly seasoned rice to the ultra-fresh fish & crisp nori. The balance of flavors is spot on, & the texture is exactly what a great handroll should be: warm rice, cool fish, & that satisfying crunch.

The service is friendly & attentive without being overbearing, & the casual, intimate setup makes the experience even better. Whether you're a sushi purist or trying handrolls for the first time, this place delivers consistently amazing food. Easily one of the best handroll experiences I've had-can't wait to come back!

Fresh, delicious sushi! Everything was amazing! We have been to Japan before & this quality is similar. It is quite expensive though, so that is the only downside.

This place is walk in only however the wait wasn't too long for a Sunday night. We were seated in about 10 mins.

This is as much delicious food as it is an experience.
The interior is stunning & intimate. The service is great & the staff friendly.
The food was extremely fresh & flavorful. But wish the sushi chefs would interact more.

If I could suggest one thing about the restaurant is that they move some of the'bar' elements away to another area, to make it more immersive. Seeing lit up coolers with pop & beer took away from the vibe.

Otherwise a great spot. Would go back. Oh, & the miso soup was 10/10. Sometimes it's about the simple things.

Lors de ma dernière visite au restaurant, nous avons fait le choix d'attendre 30min (samedi soir) pour pouvoir goûter ce restaurant.
Nous revenons alors pour s'installer mais forcé de constater qu'il y avait encore de l'attente… oui car le serveur qui avait noté notre nom, avait noté sur sa feuille 45min & non pas 30min
15min de plus, que nous avons préféré faire sur les banquettes avec un verre.
Le service ? Perdu, un personne venait nous voir, puis demander conseil a sa collègue puis appeler son autre collègue, juste pour une commande.
La nourriture? Bonne, mais d'une tristesse immense. Payer ce prix la pour manger des handroll de ce genre…mon sushi du coin est autant meilleur.
Pour résumer, si vous voulez poster une photo Instagram je conseille, si vous venez manger je déconseille fortement.

It's like discovering a hidden gem! This intimate sushi bar is cozy & the food is exquisite & the staff are lovely. We went on a Sunday night to have a better chance of being seated right away, although there are velvet covered benches along the window where you can be served a cocktail while you wait. I recommend sharing a few crudos plates & maybe an Asian salad. The handrolls are so yummy & crispy on the outside. I had 4 of them! It is not the place to hang out all evening as seating is 1 to 1.5 hours, just like such places in Japan. Oh, & the sake cups are really cool.
