Foods are really fantastic! Of course the DAIQUIRI cocktail was really satifying, too. Bartender is really polite & cool guy. The restaurant also has adequate mood to enjoy drinks & foods thanks too groovy background music & interior. I hope you visit this place someday.View more

We had a wonderful experience at Moqueur. We loved the cozy atmosphere, delicious drinks, & food. The staff was lovely.
The only point is that most items on the menu seem to be fried. We would have loved to see different cooking methods.View more

One word best describes this gem. Delicious! Friendly staff & Louis' drinks are better than top notch. Trust me, there's no cons about this new menu from chef Madison. Comfort foods that give you a big hug. Tell all your friends, family, neighbors, colleagues & maybe the dog & cat too. This place is a must try. Cheesy saying but so true. We were lucky to be seating in the lovely terrance at the back in a perfect summer night. The service was friendly & efficient. We had a couple of drinks that were interesting & flavourful. The variety & taste of various southern US food was a great surprise. The fried mushrooms, the jambalaya, the corn ribs & the corn bread were definitely highlights.View more

I recently visited this bar & had a mixed experience. The service was fantastic, & the ambiance, especially on the patio, was really good. However, the food left much to be desired. The fries were extremely soggy, & the fried chicken, while decent, wasn't anything special. The jambalaya was disappointingly flavorless & dry. The corn ribs were the only impressive item on the menu. As for the drinks, I wasn't a big fan of the Black Duck, but the daiquiri was good. Overall, it's a great spot for drinks & atmosphere, but the food could use some improvement.View more

Wow! This place has awesome music & great vibes. Tarek was an awesome, attentive, entertaining, & friendly waiter. He attended to us, all of our questions he patiently answered. He even introduced us to the house made hot sauces. The habanero parmesan sauce was amazing! Just the right amount of spice, & plenty of flavor! The drinks here are awesome, we were recommended to go here by someone at another great local restaurant. The cornbread is the most unique cornbread I've ever tried, & the truffle fries (& the house made mayo) were amazing. We would've tried other food & no doubt it would've been tasty, but we were on a food crawl so we were trying to pace ourselves. 100% would recommend this spot & we'll be back! Thanks again Tarek & company!! P.S. Our group of 6 agreed that upon first looking at the menu, nothing really called out to us, neither the drinks nor the food. Really the game-changer (& the salesman) was Tarek, & we were not disappointed with his recommendations! Give this man a raise!View more

I cannot praise the drinks highly enough, Louis & Tony are masterful bartenders! The drinks are all unique, yet totally approachable, using innovation alongside well established tradition to give you the ultimate in cocktail capabilities. Wines are all available by the glass! The cajun cuisine is a welcome addition to the montreal restaurant scene: all of their offerings are hearty & delicious, you even get to pull your best Bugs Bunny & order some succotash!
When it comes to the decor itself, Moqueur is stunningly beautiful! The ceilings are high, with an impressive mirrored back bar. Soft but by no means underwhelming lighting is provided by candles, an eye-catching plethora of hanging wicker lanterns, & of course distinctive purple neon outside that adds a luxurious glow to the inside. Wooden furniture & copper green metalwork give a really nice, unique colour scheme. No details are to be missed!
Outside is a patio that perfectly intersects a night out in the city with a forested foray into nature. Vines creep & stretch to form a chartreuse canopy, with the other half of the terrace open to the night sky. In the back corner is a massive old tree stretching up above, & quietly hiding behind is the best table out there.
My favourite part of all? I can imagine anybody enjoying themselves there. Seriously. I'm a mid-twenties bartender & I like it. My retired suburban parents would like it. My tiktok-girlies would like it. My beer-&-shot-bros would like it. My friends with actual personalities would LOVE it! I don't know any of them very well but i'm sure 40-something professionals would absolutely swoon for it. Whoever you are, just go already!
