Tried the poutine which was good. The sauce was excellent. Fries were ok. But overall one of the better poutines I have had in the city. Also tried the smoke meat platter. Smoke meat was ok. Nothing special. I think what bothered us the most is the WATERED DOWN sangria. $35 for pitcher that has so little actual alcohol. Made it feel like a tourist trap & we live in Montreal. We wouldn't go back.
Service was efficient. Tables are soooo small for 4 people it's ridiculous. Not comfortable to sit, eat & enjoy.View more
Poutine was not good (fries were cold, gravy was unseasoned) & the service was terrible. We had to ask for water three times. We were never checked on during our meal, literally had to keep flagging down the hostess to come to our table & find our waiter. Way overpriced for the quality of the food - Modavie is down the street & has much better poutine for half the price!View more
We stumbled upon this gem along our walk today in the old port. The portions are massive. We are a bit of poutine snobs & this poutine is top!! The fries are perfectly crispy & the cheese is fresh. Portions are massive & price is reasonable. The smoked meat sandwich was also delish! A great spot for a quick bite without breaking the bank.View more
Without a doubt, the best poutine in the Old Port. The fries are never soft. My favorite is the Italian Poutine, which comes with ground beef on top & is delicious. They don't serve tap water there because the pipes are old, so take advantage & order another drink. If you go inside, upstairs, you have a beautiful view of Rue St. Paul. However, the stairs are old & the steps are short. I don't recommend it for people with mobility issues. The downstairs is nice & quite pleasant, but I don't know if it's open in the winter. I've only been there in the summer (it was wonderful). The poutines are one of the best in the area (around $17.50). I recommend it!View more
Food here is okay. I had puttin & burger. Fries were a bit oily & too cooked. Burger ok.View more
The food was great, but the overall experience was disappointing. We ordered two poutines, which totaled $50 (a steep price for what is essentially a plate of fries). Because of this, we decided not to leave a tip, but the server became visibly upset & left in a huff (didn't even say bye). We understand the importance of tipping, but after spending $50 on fries, their reaction was excessive & out of place!! It's unfortunate because the food was good, but the service left us feeling unwelcome & uncomfortable.View more
Crispy fries, rich gravy, & gooey cheese curds are a match made in heaven. Friendly staff & a laid-back atmosphere make it a must-visit for poutine lovers.View more
Got the 2 hotdogs with poutine & coleslaw l. The hotdogs weren't anything special (though they were good), however the fries for the poutine were cooked to perfection. Would recommend to stop by if you're in MontrealView more
In a lively neighboirhood, sitting in their outside patio is a great choice, it's beautiful & tucked away from the street. Smoked meat sandwich is great tasting but smaller than what you would expect. Fries are nice & crispy. Service was a bit strange, had to request napkins, cutlery, etc, one would assume that would just be set up for us at the table.View more
The Poutine gravy is good, but the fries are little bit over cook, you can taste bitter, quite disappointed because they label themselves first in poutine. Hot dog is normal, not bad!! Service are good, environment is classic!! There is a very funny thing is the air conditioning system hanging on the second floor wall outside keep making very noisy sound & shaking like going to drop down immediately, hahaha.View more
By sheer coincidence, we stumbled upon this poutine restaurant (which also serves alcohol). While wandering in Old Montreal, we decided to take a break here. We ordered two beers & a poutine to share, & it was absolutely delicious! The fries, coated in gravy, remained crispy, & combined with the cheese curds, it was divine. The service was also excellent; everyone was prompt & friendly. I believe they deserve even higher praise for their food & service. However, the beer prices might be a tad high, but still manageable. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Montreal.View more
The poutine I got was good fries were a bit cold but was good. Amazing customer serviceView more
Enjoyed a classic poutine in the evening - the fries & cheese were delightful. The side aisle tables offered pleasant outdoor views adorned with hanging money plants. The ambient lighting added to the overall experience.View more
The poutine here is pretty good, I only wish the toppings were incorporated a bit more with the fries. It was a little difficult to eat since it was piled so high & the fries were on the bottom. Service here was polite but a bit slow. All in all I would recommend if you're looking for poutine.View more
