got kicked out of the theater 2 doors down the street in a heavy rain downpour , ducked into the pool room & decided to order, hot dogs mediocre, but fries were awesome, 2 dogs, a fry & a soda 11 bucks, can't go wrongView more

Endroit figé dans le temps! Même décor qui rappelle les cafétérias d'hôpital. Un long babillard de photos de visiteurs connus, de cartes de visite jaunies. Un mur défraîchi, mais propre. Un vrai décor de travailleur affamé qui se fout du reste! Dès que je passe le quartier chinois sur St-Laurent, l'envie irrésistible d'y arrêter me gagne. J'ai besoin d'une poutine authentique & d'un hot-dog vapeur. Leur savoir-faire se situe à un autre niveau & inégalé à Montréal. Les vétérans derrière le comptoir sont sympatiques & d'une efficacité remarquable. Quelques dollars suffisent pour me rassasier & poursuivre ma route !View more

Nostalgie de mes années de jeunesse. Toujours aussi bon les hot dog vapeur garni de moutarde chou oignon accompagné de frites maison. Dommage qu'il ne reste que Montréal pool room. Au coin doré & frites dorées ont malheureusement disparus. Snif.View more

One of the few remaining really authentic places left in Montreal. I like their steamies. I don't often like fries, but I like theirs. I love sitting in that one seat at the front window & watching the world go by on St Laurent. Cash only!View more

Exiting Places Des Arts, the La Belle Province on St Catherine is quicker found & has similar food. So the crowds tend to go there, including myself for some time. I'm glad I altered the routine to check out Montreal Pool Room though because this place is a fast food gem. Great place for a taste of traditional Montreal greasy grub. Open late for convenience after a night of partying downtown. Although it is cash only on the inconvenient side. Service is wonderful as well. The walls are adorned with some neat maps & posters going back many years. You can actually learn a neat bit about local history from the hangings on the wall. Happy to support this historic Montreal business.View more
