This is a classic dog spot. Nothing else can be said, but I will say more. The restaurant felt super nostalgic & rustic. It was clean & had a little bar in the back, which was interesting. The food was exactly what you'd expect. Fries were hand-cut & well-made; dogs were on point. Poutine looked good. The only reason it's getting a 4 is because we sat down when there were maybe four other people in the restaurant, & it took like 20-25 minutes for two hot dogs & fries. We weren't in a rush, just hungry. Otherwise, it was a good experience.
Went with a couple friends for brunch this week, food was great service was great too! The cook paid attention to my substitutions & was careful to double check to make sure! Thoughtful & I recommend! :))

Came here on Monday & enjoyed a very good brunch with my group of friends :) Made the review because I have been thinking about their delicious'Mont Royal' poutine I had all week. Will definitely be coming back! Thank you

Got 2 hot dog & fries, the fries were hand cut home fries very good in my opinion, hot dogs were also really good buns were perfectly golden with a slight crisp over all food was good & the waiter was nice & energetic,
It's not too bad as a sit down place, & there's a nice park across the street to eat in. That being said - OVERPRICED. One mini poutine, hot dog & a canned soda came out to 16$! They ask for a tip, even on takeout. I apologized & said I couldn't & an employee told me that the staff doesn't even get the tips. I don't even know how that works. But it's been a few times now across different employees where the employees themselves seem to imply that the management here is a bit greedy. The service at the takeout counter isn't too friendly, either. Food is above Labelle Province in quality but nothing to write home about. I recommend going to Nouveau Systeme on Beaubien if you can. Much cheaper, friendlier service - but if you're in the area & want a hot dog or quick food, it's not too bad.
One of the better poutine places in montreal. All the elements for a good poutine are respected: good fries, tasty good quality gravy & cheese curds that squeek. Tried the'Mont Royal' poutine with bacon, pepperoni, sausage, peppers & mushrooms. Definitely recommend.
i'm obsessed with the poutines + they have a vegetarian friendly gravy option! & i was pleasantly surprised by their salads, they make their dressing in house & the salads are always full of fresh ingredients. i'm a vegetarian so i wasn't sure what the options would be like here for me since it's a smaller spot & has meat in its name but they've got multiple options to choose from, i've also tried their veggie burger & it slayeddd.
i live right around the corner & every time i've ordered my food is ready quickly, if it's really busy or is going to take longer they'll give me a warning before i order. plus they have a cute cook there (@ dame

& had a fantastic experience! The hot dogs & pizzas were delicious & reasonably priced! The staff was friendly, quick, & attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant was clean & well-maintained, which added to the overall positive atmosphere. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving tasty hot dogs & pizzas!
Best restaurant in town, I have tried their hamburgers they're amazing & the poutines are the best I had in my life, especially the Dèli Special, that's my favorite one, my friend told me to go in & try the pizzas next time I'm there, I will as they look great!!!

I went to Mont Royal Hot Dog yesterday, & it was amazing! The hot dog was juicy, perfectly cooked, & the bun was nice & soft. I also tried their poutine, & wow, it lived up to the hype! The fries were crispy, the cheese curds were fresh, & the gravy was just right. It's definitely a must-try staple of Montreal. The vibe was great, & the staff were super friendly. I'll definitely be back for more!
If you're looking to enjoy a typical Canadian or Quebecois breakfast or brunch in a classic diner, this is a place to go (although I have other favorite places nearby). The service is above average, & the staff is very friendly. While the food could be slightly better, it's important to remember that this is an affordable spot.
The Meat Sandwich was really really good. Also the fries were fresh & tasted very good. The lasagna could have been better. Would definitely recommend this place tho
Kind of a meme restaurant but in an endearing way. Very central & open late. Perfect place for when you're out with friends & need some greasy food on a budget. Also they are vegetarian & vegan options.

I came to eat with my fanily & the food was amazing tasted fresh & juicy. I had the mont royal sub marin, my mother had the club sandwich & my sister had a lasagna it was amazing. The service was fast & friendly, definitely coming back.
This place is everything we wanted in a greasy spoon. Feels like where the locals go. Old school diner vibes, hot dogs & crispy hand cut fries. We shared a bowl of poutine, the gravy was very tasty, great curds & flavor! We are happy we stopped!
Fantastic, warm atmosphere, friendly staff that went above & beyond, the food was as good as it gets but I did receive two steamies instead of the toasties I asked for. Price was fair compared to the quebecois chains. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
