We tried Chicken kebab for the starter, & the wait time was more than 30 minutes. The kebab was just okay, not so thrilling. Then, for the main course, we ordered Chicken Vindaloo, garlic naan, & chicken biryani. I loved the Chicken Vindaloo & will definitely recommend it. The Chicken Biryani was also amazing. I had also tried Mango Lassi, & it was good. Overall, a quite good experience. & lastly, the hero of the show, Gulab jamun-I loved it.
This is my favorite place for comfort food. Service is always great, the folks are friendly, & the quality of the flavors are always on point. this is one of my "safe food" locations, ND folks know what I mean. My favorite thing to get is the butter chicken with medium spice, & my spouse usually gets palak paneer & garlic naan. We're always pleased with what we order. We usually do pick-up but the restaurant is also a really cozy spot with ample room between the tables. The smell inside is fantastic & the lighting is soft & warm. It's just a nice comforting place with comforting food & kind staff with reliable consistency that makes a big difference in an unpredictable life.
I have tried many Indian restaurants so far but this will be my first choice from now. Butter chicken Delicious! Tandoori's Super Delicious!! Must try
Ordered Tandoori Chicken through Doordash & it was so good 😋. Highly recommend!
One of the best Indian restaurants in Montreal. love the service & desi vibes at this place. Top notch food quality & quantity. Recommended Tandoori's & Butter Chicken :-)
One of the best Indian restaurants I have tried, really enjoyed the butter chicken & Tandoori Chicken, they have vegetarian options as well. I recommend for Indian cuisine lovers
Everything halal; from Algeria🇩🇿 🇵🇸my favourite combination Butter chicken with cheese naan, & mango lassi , still it is watering in my mouth, the texture of cheese naan _ & creamnees in butter chicken, guys try it if it is your first time.
Disappointing Dining Experience at Everest As a lover of Indian cuisine, I was excited to try Everest but was left underwhelmed by the overall experience. Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. The chicken in the Madras curry was tough, seemingly pre-cubed & cooked , & lacked integration with the sauce, which did not taste freshly made. The vegetables in the curry were not well-incorporated, detracting from the overall flavor profile. Equally disappointing was the bread selection. Both the roti & naan were lackluster & indistinguishable from each other, failing to provide the authentic taste & texture I was hoping for. The pricing felt steep, especially considering the quality of the meals served. This was compounded by slow service, likely due to the restaurant being understaffed. The constant foot traffic of Uber drivers also disrupted the dining atmosphere, which was otherwise bland & uninviting. Everest did not live up to the expectations set by its name, leaving much to be desired both in terms of culinary execution & dining experience.
I ordered pick up. The service was fast enough. I ordered samosas, they were ok, the naan bread was not good: it was doughy,,, not like a regular traditional naan bread. It could have been better.
My main dish was very good & tasteful though, I had a chicken Madras.
Compared to other available options for Indian food in Montreal, I wouldn't personally recommend this place. It isn't that the service speed is bad, but my friends & I found the food only so-so. The dishes aren't flavorful & in my opinion, you might miss the authentic tastes.
Veggies Samosas, Masala Tea - not recommended.
Gulabjamun - 👍🙂
Paneer & Chicken Tikka Masala are worth trying
Amazing food! I am rarely happy with Indian restaurants in Montreal but this place was a pleasant surprise. We had Salmon pakora, the grilled platter & butter chicken with some naans. The kebabs of the platter were delightful - succulent & perfectly spiced. Service was great & very reasonably priced too!
