The food was REALLY disappointing, very flavourless, cold & overpriced. The wait was ridiculous, we were there 3 hours for a set menu, waiting up to 1 hour between dishes. I think the point is for you to drink more, but it also comes from being badly organized. The food came out cold & it was honestly surprising to taste such bad & odd flavour profiles, even the sea food platter was disappointing. The wine wasn't great either. I chose this restaurant for a special occasion for my wife's birthday & ended up bitterly regretting my decision to try Molenne, it was very very expensive for one of the worst meal we had ever had.
I would absolutely avoid this place, I'm frankly surprised it's still open.
Second time going to Molenne & I felt like I had to leave a review. The staff is attentive, & sweet. The meal is always impeccable & honestly priced :) a definite go-to if you're looking for fresh ingredients & a cute vibe.

I went to this restaurant looking to try something new in Montreal, & I'm so glad I did. From the moment you walk in, the service is warm & welcoming. The space feels cozy/elevated. It's lively but still intimate enough for a conversation.
We ordered the tuna tartare, bison tartare, cod, oxtail cannoli, potatoes, & a blueberry dessert. The food took waaaay too long to arrive-servers apologized, but no adjustment was made for the wait. (We arrived at 8:30 & around 10pm we still haven't received our main & at midnight I was eating dessert)
That said… the food was beautiful. This was easily one of the best meals I've had in Montreal in a very long time. Where looking at about 200$ without drinks & worth every single penny. However, they would need to work on offering better service to enhance the dinning experience.
Une équipe jeune & dynamique qui a lancé avec succès ce resto il a quelques mois. J'ai adoré la finesse de la cuisine & l'accueil relax & élégant à la fois. Mon meilleur resto à Montréal en 2026 for sure ! MERCI !
Je ne suis pas de la génération à avoir mon iPhone sur la table lorsque je vais au resto. Donc je prends rarement des photos de la bouffe. Car finalement, une photo ne garantit rien, ne goûte pas, ni arrive à exprimer la qualité de ce qui se trouve dans l'assiette. Ça peut être beau, mais pas bon. Le même principe s'applique lorsque l'on parle du service en salle . On est d'accord ? Comment parler du service à travers une image ? Pas possible ! Je suis fan de ce resto & ce, depuis l'ouverture & je le suis encore & encore ! Les produits de notre province sont apprêtés de façon créative sans dénaturer leurs essences & surtout c'est délicieux. Le service irréprochable, digne d'un grand resto sans chichi, humain, attentionné & bienveillant & dans le moindre détail qui fait immensément plaisir. & à mon grand bonheur, car ils savent bien faire les choses, une terrasse va ouvrir cette année (ils voulaient assurer avant de s'aventurer en terrasse) ! Bravo à toute l'équipe, vous êtes sur votre X !

Incredibly fresh & stunning assortment of oysters & other raw bar delicacies.
Delish entrees. My dining partner & I shared the pork stew, which was just enough after the cold seafood appetizers. It was unlike anything I've ever had, with a bit of pasta &'shredded' pork in a lovely sauce.
Beautiful wines, too.
The cheesecake was light & almost like a soufflé in texture, with shredded parm sprinkled on top. Wow!
Service was extremely attentive without being over bearing. Servers seemed to love working as part of the team & seemed proud & enthusiastic about what they were serving.
We will be back!

Le Molenne, sur la Saint-Laurent, est une expérience culinaire très originale, dans une ambiance montréalaise, qui accueille une cinquantaine de personnes. Les produits de la mer dominent, mais la terre est bien représentée par son bison. Une équipe sympathique qui travaille en symbiose. Je recommande sans hésitation l'expérience Menu Dégustation & une réservation à l'avance est conseillée.
Le Molenne, on Saint-Laurent Street, is a truly unique culinary experience in a Montreal setting that accommodates around fifty people. Seafood is the star, but the land is well represented by its bison. A friendly team works in perfect harmony. I wholeheartedly recommend the Menu Dégustation experience, & reservations are advised.
The degustation menu is beautifully curated. i haven't had magret de canard the way i've had it here before & the oyster selection is delicious!
what makes the experience special is Alex's attention to detail & care. He definitely made the difference.
