Moishes was a perfect dining experience. The staff attended our every need, was fast & friendly. The food was perfectly prepared. The facilities were well looked after. This is a prefect place to dine out & I would reccomend to anyone for a perfect dinner at a restaurant.
Gorgeous, bespoke decor where you feel wealthy, & delicious steakhouse food with a very worthwhile $48 lunch special that includes an appetizer, main & dessert. But the service was very slow & the waiter was not at all responsive or helpful. It cost us more than it should have & he paid little attention to us. I will definitely return for lunch, but I will also definitely choose another waiter's section.

Waitress was great, nice place but so are so many others in montreal. The steak was tough & definitely not AAA. Kitchen was super slow. Millefeuille was not up to par, just full of cream. To top it all off, I got sick from it. Was repeatedly advised not to try it but I yearned for the old days. Should've listened
At the beginning, we had a rough start because we had made a reservation &, for some unknown reason, we got the worst table in the restaurant, close to the patio door. We were freezing that day & asked three times before we finally found a good employee who switched us to an amazing spot. The cocktails were 10 out of 10; we tried the Yoopi. Before the main dish, they served us homemade pickles & coleslaw. It might sound like a snack shack dish, but it was 10 out of 10. I think the butter was homemade too because they also gave us bread & butter, & the butter was so smooth-10 out of 10. We took the grill platter afterward. Unfortunately, they don't blanch the fries, so the fries were so-so, but it came with three different dips, which was pretty cool. The king of the platter was the lamb, which was the best lamb I have ever eaten. The short rib was very good, but the chicken was too peppery, which was unfortunate because it was perfectly cooked. The New York steak was the disappointment of the evening. I am used to eating high-end AAA steak, & that was not it at all. Maybe it's me who is too fancy, but I was told it was the best steakhouse in Montreal, & the steak was the weak link, lol. The service is out of this world-they give you a hot towel after supper, plus they have valet service too.
It was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was simply exceptional. Each dish was crafted with great attention to detail, blending flavors & textures in perfect harmony. I highly recommended the seafood tower! The service matched the quality of the food. Overall, Moishes exceeded my expectations with its excellent food & impeccable service. It's a place I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.
Wow this restaurant is great. My favorite in Montreal. The food the atmosphere the service, all unbelievable. The manager (wish I knew his name) is an asset to this restaurant, he's amazing. Awesome service
