Modavie est un lieu intemporel qui nous rappelle nos racines, où dames & messieurs se réunissent pour manger dans une atmosphère animée causée par de bonnes conversations, de la musique live et les parfums boisés d’une salle vintage. Né en 1997, il est rapidement devenu populaire parmi les locaux et les visiteurs, et est maintenant considéré comme une institution montréalaise.
Régalez-vous avec une cuisine française raffinée dans un espace antique et tamisé sur deux étages. Du classique tartare de bœuf, au savoureux ris de veau, en passant par la fameuse ratatouille, vos envies seront facilement rassasiées.

Reservation highly recommended. It's a popular restaurant in Montreal old town & they have live music every night. However we were a little disappointed to find that it was not jazz/blues music on the day of our visit. Food is not tasty but portions are large. Northing to complain nor be impressed.Voir plus

Nice room. Lively. Lamb chops excellent. Also ordered fish special which was Lake Trout. Was served the Salmon BUT it looked delicious so I dived right in! Delicious! Plus, saved $2 as the Trout on my bill was less than the Salmon I was served! 😆Voir plus

We booked a last minute reservation, & were very glad we did. There was lovely live music in the next room. The atmosphere was festive, with nice moody lighting, a gorgeous old building & great bistro-type decor. There are hundreds of wine choices & the server was knowledgable about all the wines we asked about. I had the risotto, & my husband had an off-menu steak. We had tuna tartare as an appetizer. We were so impressed with the service (see the photo of him posing) & the food, & with the beautiful ambiance. Highly recommended!Voir plus

Amazing place, one of my favourite go to places in Montreal. If I had the chance again, I would definitely have this on my list of possible places. It had tender & beautiful lamb of which I ordered today. It was deliciously cooked, a beautiful gravy, potatoes, & a once in a lifetime meal.Voir plus

I went for early dinner with 2 daughters to enjoy French onion soup, mussels, & creme brulee. We were told that we had our table for 2 hours, though right after an hour the waiter came & put the check in front of me, did not even offer or given a chance to order dessert. A great night out for you & your partner. Definitely leave a note on your reservations to sit near the live music on either 1st or 2nd floor. The food was good, however, for the price it's a little too expensive, but I guess you're paying for the experience of the live jazz as well. My partner & I ordered the steak & frites, & the duck confit. I would recommend both dishes if you're having a hard time choosing a meal. The in-house cocktail selection was great, especially the'blood orange squeeze' &'pineapple express', which I highly recommend.Voir plus

We came here recently & had a great time overall. It's a nice place down in Old Montreal to grab a bite or have some drinks. The restaurant has a nice vibe & they had a live band playing that night which was pretty cool. The service was very good considering it does get quite busy here at times so I'd highly recommend getting a reservation. The Food was above average as well. Some items on the appetizers could've been a bit better but the main courses were top notch. The Lamb was probably one of the best I've ever tried & the Filet Minion was exceptional as well. The Cocktails were all really good & the dessert was enjoyable too. I'd definitely recommend to give this place a try as I'm sure I will return again myself whenever I visit again.Voir plus
