Just walked in cause it seemed like it should be good. Had the fish & chips. It was just a bunch of burnt grease. The fries looked unappealing & the fish seemed like it was caught last year & cooked last week. The food came out shiny with shades of black, what more is there to say. It was hot- that's good right?! It was 24$ all in... this was a waste time & energy. The burgers on other peoples plates look small, overcooked & plain.
Welcoming staff, got seated to a table very quickly. A few booth seatings were decently comfortable for a meal. Ordered the steer burger & poutine. The burger was made to order & was good. There is an assortment of sauce at the table to adjust to your taste & liking. The poutine was good. The string fries is different from what I had before. I did give an extra crispiness to the poutine. Was a good experience.
Pretty good food however after multiple visits & exceptionally slow service, I have opted out of this restaurant. I just don't have the patience, waiting 20 minutes to get the check.
5 stars for this restaurant, my boyfriend & I LOVED it. Christina (hope I wrote it properly) was an amazing host/waitress. The food was delicious & it tasted homemade, my compliments to the chef. Usually, since we are a young couple, waitresses treat us differently like we would run off without paying but Christina made us feel at home & the ambiance was overall AMAZING
For once there is truth on advertising: The best hamburger this side of heaven. & one of the rare (haha) places in Montreal where you can get one cooked right: rare or even bleu. BTW the half-pound is the way to go. With their crisp & delish Suzie-Q fries & order a side of pickles.
