As we dined mid-afternoon, there were few customers. Our server Mohammed was still inattentive. Quick, yes, but clearly disinterested. We ordered a number 3 & a number 5, but received two number 5s, a more expensive dish. At first confused, we had asked what the difference of the dishes was, & he was unable to tell us. He said he thought we had ordered two number 5s. We were charged the extra $3 which it turns out is for cheese. Mohammed's mistake should not have been charged to us. Oh, & a $4 iced tea should be bigger than a juice box, not smaller. That said, the meat was cooked to perfection. Never has medium-rare been nailed more perfectly by a cook. Bravo!
Sorry but is much better if you go somewhere else go to Mc Donald. Is not much difference. Is just the name sorry but is the truth ...
Eating Mr Steer , I won't feel tired even standing at the company for a day.(nov 2024) Very cost-effective( Sep 2022)
Le premier restaurant à Montréal dans le lequel j'ai mangé il y a 32 ans quand je suis arrivé d'Europe. Que de bons souvenirs.
Mr. Steer is a true gem if you're looking for that classic, authentic vibe! Walking in feels like a step back in time in the best way possible, with an atmosphere that's all about keeping things real & old-school. The menu delivers exactly what you'd hope for-delicious, hearty food that feels comforting & genuine. Their steak is spot-on, cooked just right with that rich, savory flavor that's hard to beat. & the milkshakes? So thick, creamy, & absolutely indulgent! They really don't make them like this anymore. To top it off, their sundaes are the perfect throwback dessert, piled with just the right amount of toppings to make you feel like a kid again. Mr. Steer nails that nostalgic, good-tasting experience that's rare to find these days. Definitely worth a visit!
Fantastic burgers in a deli-style environment. Fast & friendly service & a great place to go before the hockey game
Toujours un plaisir de déguster un bon steer burger médium-saignant accompagné de suzie-q. Pas cher pour la qualité de l'assiette.
Service was very friendly & efficient at lunch but the prices are outrageous. For same price you can get a way better burger with fresher toppings & a bigger patty at many restaurants downtown. My tiny burger arrived with the saddest looking slices of onion, lettuce & one sad tomato. There were a decent amount of fries but that in no way justifies the 17,50$ price!
This fabulous downtown diner has, by far, one of the best juicy burgers in Montreal. Been here multiple times in the past ten years & every time, the same high quality food, & service along with a nice North American diner vibe. & the prices are very reasonable! This place has to be on everyone's 💜 list IMHO 😅
Great lunch specials, which is hard to find anymore in downtown Montreal. The curly Q fries are delicious
Food was bad & unimpressive, burger patty the size of a toonie, fries unsalted & soggy. Place is old & in need of a reno, $28 for a bad burger fries & a coke. Place needs to step it up to deserve being on St. Cathrine's.
Meilleur endroit pour manger des burgers à Montréal! Très bon service.
Wow, what a great burger! I've been here before, when I was a kid, but I didn't remember how good these burgers were. I might stop going to the newer burger places I like so much, & come here instead. Had the half pound Texan burger & it was just so enjoyable. That's the closest to the satisfaction of a burger off the BBQ, at my dad's place, I think I've ever had. The fries were very good too - & different. The service was very friendly.
Food was just okay, the service was the best in Montreal. Atmosphere is very nice. Price is too high for quality of food
