En goûtant, le poisson était sec, plein d'arêtes & totalement fade & froid au centre. Je le déconseille vivement. D'ailleurs, je ne l'n ai pas mangé.
We ordered fish & chips. Usually very good, this time the batter on the fish was very hard & the fish did not have much flavour. Also the fries were cold. Our others friends had trout, a monster burger & a tofu salad. All seemed to enjoy their food. We found as the tables filled up we could not hear each other or have a conversation without yelling.
Nous étions à Magog la fin de semaine du 19-20-21 Septembre 25 & nous sommes allés souper chez vous & on a été agréablement surpris de la bonne bouffe. Tout était délicieux.Du poulet portugais au fish & chips sans oublier les bons burgers LE BOSS qui étaient garnis à souhait.Tres grande terrasse & très bonne ambiance.
Je recommande cette microbrasserie .
PS Le personnel est très sympathique & le service très rapide!

La hotte de cuisine ne fonctionnait pas (pas d'hamberger), nous l'avons su lors de notre arrivée. Les fish & chips étaient trop cuits & aussi les dill frits.
Our first visit to this restaurant. I always noticed it is a very happening place with big line ups & full terraces. Must be good? It is not!
The food is not - everything else is alright. We were three people & ordered different items.
I had fish & chips (26$) - the fish was the standard, not impressive, frozen from a big box store type of fish & the fries were just equally just commercial potato fries. The type of bad meal I could but would not make make myself at home. My lunch companions ordered 1) hamburger (26$, yes I said 26 dollars!!) & declared it a mistake. 2) a veggieburger (24) & also didn't enjoy the plate.
Now aside from the quality of the food - it's a fun place. Great location on the river flowing out of lake Memphremagog in Magog on Merry street. Terrific terrace for people watching & getting rowdy. The interior has a rustic decor of grab a beer & then some more, lol. The beer is delicious . I believe mine was called Kateville. A glass for 12$.
I did see the attraction - big versatile menu, lots of twenty something dollar poutines & a fun ambience with great beer!
So go, keep it basic & enjoy the beer.
Good overall experience, repeat customers & we often pick this pub with our group when in Magog for a few days. Excellent service, good atmosphere & busy on weekends (how we like it), we always book ahead & never wait to be seated.
Good choice of beers with samplers available, varied pub-style menu, we like their soups, burgers, fish & chips, etc. Will return & recommend.
Atmosphere & service excellent mais le fish & Chip, ordinaire. Mais j'y retournerai en essayant autre chose au menu.
Typical pub...typical pub food. We ordered the American burger plate & the beer-battered fish & chips. All was well prepared & tasty. Service was just okay...utensils missing, we asked for ketchup...they brought an empty bottle. Table was sticky & dirty...the reviews were good, but in the end we weren't overly impressed.
I can see why there are so many positive reviews for this restaurant. Everything was excellent quality! The space is nice & clean, our waitress was inviting, & the food was prompt & delicious. The smoked meat poutine & fish & chips were particularly remarkable.
The fish & chips were excellent. The breading on the fish was so light & flavorful. Oktoberfest meal had generous portions & tasted great as well. Our server, Felicia checked on us & was very attentive & friendly. We had a table near the water, with a wonderful view.
We started our getaway with a bang. This restaurant was very good. The service was welcoming. I sampled their beers. Really good. Their burger was good too. My wife had the fish & chips. She enjoyed it too. I recommend it.
Nous étions en escapade en amoureux & avons testé le plat du jour soit la bavette ainsi que le fish & chips. Le tout était frais & très bon. Bien que nous y étions en période de fête, il y avait du monde & peu de serveur. Toutefois, la serveuse très souriante à été très à l'affût & à offert un très bon service. La microbrasserie est bien située & a du charme. Le menu de bières offre un panel intéressant pour les personnes qui veulent goûter à différentes sortes.
Great neighborhood pub with a nice vibe, & a nice selection of beer made on site...
We had Le fish & chips, & the Burger le Monstre. Pretty good, but could have been better.
Service was excellent.
