Montreal's specialty espresso bar with an Italian twist. Come try our locally roasted coffees, delightful teas, and freshly baked pastries. Maybe even grab a scoop of our artisanal ice cream to enjoy while strolling in the Old Port.
Micro Espresso Café is described in reviews as a tiny, cozy, mostly take-out spot in Old Montreal with a minimalist, warm vibe and a serious focus on great coffee; espresso drinks like cappuccino and flat white are repeatedly praised for balance, richness, and smoothness, often alongside pastries such as croissants or turnovers. The space is snug with limited seating, making it ideal for a quick stop rather than lingering, while friendly staff create a welcoming impression and frequently roast their own beans for a fresh, local touch. Several reviews mention excellent value and consistently high quality across beans and roasts, and some celebrate the shop’s aroma and the attention to detail, though a few note a preference for hotter coffee or minor price considerations around non-dairy milks. Overall, Micro Espresso Café emerges as a standout for fast, high-quality coffee and well-made pastries in a small, stylish setting.
I stopped by Micro Espresso for a quick cup of coffee while exploring Montreal, & it was a great find. It's a very tiny spot-definitely more of a grab-&-go place-but the coffee was absolutely delicious.
The gentleman working there was incredibly kind & welcoming, even letting me borrow his charger, which was such a thoughtful gesture. There are a couple of stools by the bar if you want to stand or perch for a minute, but it's not really a sit-down-&-relax café-more perfect for a quick stop when you're on the move.
Overall, a great little coffee spot with excellent coffee & genuinely nice service. Highly recommend grabbing one if you're nearby & on the go ☕
Vraiment ne cherchez pas plus loin. Ils sont au top. Si vous vous y connaissez en cafe vous comprendrez qu'il n'y a pas mieux dans le coin. Service impeccable, température parfaite
AMAZING coffee 🤤 so balanced. We are cappuccino drinkers, so it was well-made. Loved the aesthetics too - minimal, comfortable, & thoughtfully designed.

Very sour & acidic. Not at all the traditional Italian coffee they pretend to be. We couldn't finish our coffees.
The barista was nonchalant almost rude. Would not recommend.
This morning I went with my husband to this lil café, that we didn't know cause we live in Verdun. The best coffee since we live in Montreal & we arrived 4 years ago! Also the place is super cozy & the service kind. Recommended! 😊
The coffee is rich & smooth, the staff are friendly, the entrance & indoor space are small with limited seating, & the aroma of freshly baked goods is strong & inviting.
