Montreal's specialty espresso bar with an Italian twist. Come try our locally roasted coffees, delightful teas, and freshly baked pastries. Maybe even grab a scoop of our artisanal ice cream to enjoy while strolling in the Old Port.
Micro Espresso Café receives praise for exceptionally balanced coffee, with standout espresso based drinks like cappuccinos, lattes, flat whites, and cortados described as rich, smooth, and velvety. The space is consistently noted as small and charming, with a minimal, cozy design and wood accents, ideally suited for a quick takeout or a casual sit at the bar where friendly staff provide knowledgeable service. Guests compliment the bakery items and pastries that pair well with the coffee, and many mention the inviting aroma of freshly baked goods. The Old Montreal location is described as convenient and walkable, turning a visit into a pleasant part of exploring the area, though seating is limited. Service quality is a recurring highlight, with staff repeatedly called attentive, warm, and professional, and the baristas often singled out for making excellent drinks. A few reviews touch on pricing of non dairy milks, suggesting that a small extra charge feels a bit commercial, while others explain it as a common industry practice; one or two notes mention occasional inconsistency with hot drink temperatures. Overall, the consensus points to excellent coffee, a strong pastry program, and a welcoming, go-to spot for coffee lovers seeking a true Montreal cafe experience.
I stopped by Micro Espresso for a quick cup of coffee while exploring Montreal, & it was a great find. It's a very tiny spot-definitely more of a grab-&-go place-but the coffee was absolutely delicious.
The gentleman working there was incredibly kind & welcoming, even letting me borrow his charger, which was such a thoughtful gesture. There are a couple of stools by the bar if you want to stand or perch for a minute, but it's not really a sit-down-&-relax café-more perfect for a quick stop when you're on the move.
Overall, a great little coffee spot with excellent coffee & genuinely nice service. Highly recommend grabbing one if you're nearby & on the go ☕
Vraiment ne cherchez pas plus loin. Ils sont au top. Si vous vous y connaissez en cafe vous comprendrez qu'il n'y a pas mieux dans le coin. Service impeccable, température parfaite

AMAZING coffee 🤤 so balanced. We are cappuccino drinkers, so it was well-made. Loved the aesthetics too - minimal, comfortable, & thoughtfully designed.
Very sour & acidic. Not at all the traditional Italian coffee they pretend to be. We couldn't finish our coffees.
The barista was nonchalant almost rude. Would not recommend.
This morning I went with my husband to this lil café, that we didn't know cause we live in Verdun. The best coffee since we live in Montreal & we arrived 4 years ago! Also the place is super cozy & the service kind. Recommended! 😊
The coffee is rich & smooth, the staff are friendly, the entrance & indoor space are small with limited seating, & the aroma of freshly baked goods is strong & inviting.
