The coffee is fine with a very flat profile, interior decoration is ok, the pastries are very low quality, service is very friendly

Overall, not bad. Better than Starbucks!

The matcha is good, but it was overpriced considering I ordered a large iced coffee & matcha, & the matcha cup was smaller.

The'bio-milk' they use is nothing special besides your regular grocery, affordable milk. At the very least, I thought it would be one of those fancy, expensive grocery milks.
The pastries are also good, but are just a bit too sweet for my taste.

The vibes are cute & cosy, but small.

I came here to pick up some pastries. There's cool vibes but the free wifi is slow as hell & I could not even load the landing page for the wifi for ten minutes. I gave up & went to the Starbucks down the street. All I wanted to do was Google some directions. Jesus, this cafe must be frustrating as hell for people & their electronics.

Fantastic little coffee shop. Both great coffee & pastries. The filter was so smooth & the perfect way to warm your soul.

Really nice small coffee place. Continuous line & for good reason. Quality coffee prepared well. Worth the 5-10 minute wait. Food options are unremarkable, same pastries as everywhere.

Friendly & fast service. Coffee decent. Lovely space. Was open on Easter Sunday which was a bonus as a lot of downtown Montreal places were closed. Coffee beans for sale. Didn't eat anything but there were yummy looking pastries & biscotti's

I love this place! First time I went was at the location on Monkland in 2018 when I first moved to Montreal. After relocating downtown, I was happy to find Melk nearby! I come from a coffee enthusiast family, so I take my coffee seriously. Whenever I order a decaf oat latte to go, or a decide to be adventurous with a regular full caff drink, I melt into the first sip & stop in my tracks to appreciate moment. Who knew coffee could be so grounding? I've also had the matcha, but I come back for the coffee. I've only sat in here 2-3 times because of how busy it can get for such a small cafe, but I'd say the window seat gives you the most peace & privacy! As for the pastries, they offer gluten-free options, banana bread, carrot apple loaf, cookies, bars, & whatever is on hand at the time. I don't always go for snacks, but from what I can tell, the availabilities change. They also have a tiny fridge under the counter with juice & other bottled beverages. I bought two bags of beans, local, to gift to my family. The tasting notes were interesting for a lot of the options available, but I was able to ask the enthusiastic barista for a recommendation based on preparation style & preferred notes. Always a treat!
