Nous avons fait une petite demande de dernière minute & Jérôme s'est assuré de répondre à cette demande avant la fermeture des cuisines, ce que nous avons grandement apprécié.View more

We popped into Old Montreal for New Year's Eve & had the best time at Hotel Nelligan & specifically Mechant Boeuf. The sweetest gal greeted us as the most assertive & helpful hostess. It was so obvious she was committed to seating us promptly. Because we had a slight wait, she sent bubbles to the table. We watched her serve the restaurant in any capacity, attending to tables with drink service & a smile. Our waiter, Valter, was efficient & patient with a very difficult table next to us, & we noticed many pleased patrons under his service. Absolutely top notch service from entry to exit!! Service impeccable! Vous vous devez d'y aller si vous êtes amateurs de viandes. Notre serveuse Amélie nous a offert un service hors pair. Je vais régulièrement au restaurant & j'ai rarement eu un service aussi exceptionnel que celui que nous avons reçu au Méchant Boeuf. Je recommande fortement! Nous avons passé une merveilleuse soirée au méchant boeuf, rythmée de viandes de qualité dans une ambiance aussi douce que chaleureuse. Le service est irréprochable, & côté menu, & je vous recommande vivement les côtes courtes braisées. I had a great experience with Mèchant Boeuf for their first night of their MTLàTable menu at 65$ The food was amazing. I highly enjoyed the scallop appetizer. The aïoli was well savoury & the seaweed brought out the sweetness of the scallops. The jerk rack of lamb was great. The meat was not as pink as I would have liked, but was very tender regardless. The spices used for the lamb were very aromatic & I enjoyed the light sweet touch added to the dish. Service & hospitality was excellent & we were made to feel very welcomed. Our waiter was very polite & accommodating to our requests. The chef came to greet us at the table to ask for our feedback regarding our meal. It was very nice of them to seek our opinions & to want to improve their menu based on customer feedback.View more

My boyfriend & I were on a short visit to Montreal, & we're so glad we chose Méchant Boeuf. The food, the service, & the ambience were all fantastic. I had the 35oz dry aged porterhouse, & he had the 45oz Tomahawk ribeye. Both steaks were cooked to perfection, & the sauces complimented them. Valter was an amazing server. Très déçu! Nous avons pris un tartare de boeuf - portion repas. La quantité minimaliste (une demi portion). C'était absolument sans goût. Les frites étaient ordinaires & pas très chaudes. & le prix du vin, dans les moins chers, sont à 70$ & l'huître à 4,50$ l'unité. Le service est très moyen. Il faut chercher le serveur. J'y suis allé à plusieurs reprises dans le passé. Je n'y retournerai pas. 🥺 Dommage.View more

Ma fille & moi sommes allées vendredi 13 dernier. Décor agréable, belle ambiance, menu très intéressant! Nous avons partagé un succulent carpacio de boeuf en entrée, ma fille a bien apprécié sa bavette & j'ai a-do-r-é mon saumon, tout simplement divin! Le service effectué par Valter a été absolument parfait en tout point comme on en trouve plus rarement depuis la pandémie! Souriant, sympathique, attentionné, vraiment impeccable! Cannot recommend highly enough. Super service, delicious wine & scrumptious food. I've been before, I'll return again. I recently dined at Méchant Boeuf in Montreal & had a great experience overall. The service was outstanding, attentive, & friendly, which made our meal enjoyable. We tried the steak tartare, which had a unique kick, setting it apart from other tartares I've tasted. It was flavorful & had a nice texture. We also ordered the poutine with brisket; while the poutine was delicious, I felt the brisket could have used a bit more seasoning to enhance its flavor. The restaurant is in a great location, making it a convenient spot to enjoy a meal. I would definitely recommend it & give it four stars!View more

From the time we were seated to when we left the experience at Méchant Boeuf 🥩 was outstanding. 'Nolan' who welcome us was methodical & very timely in his delivery. We never felt rushed. We then found out that he was at the end of his shift. We never felt that way. Valter then took over. Calter took service to another notch. He was seamless & flawless. He saw us off with a house gift, which really surprised us, but was very aligned with how he served us the whole time. Attention & resourcefulness was the core of the service. Had a fantastic meal at Mechant Boeuf last night during a huge rainstorm. We had a lovely seat by the window & it was warm & cozy. Our server, Valter, was kind & attentive & made several great suggestions as to menu items, including having some delicious pork dumplings to start, along with onion soup. For our mains, we had the salmon & seafood tagliatelle. Both were delicious. The Brookie dessert was a teensy bit dry but the copious amount of ice cream on top more than made up for it! Can't say enough about this restaurant & the friendly talented Valter - we will be back!View more
