After 5 years I came back to McClain's for my friends bachelor party. We had such a good time 5 years ago when I was celebrating my engagement that I brought five friends back for their own bachelor party. It was a welcome sight to see Judy still working here. She actually recognized us somehow after 5 years & curated such a wonderful evening. She connected with everybody in the party, made sure that they knew where they were going in Montreal & had a great time while they were here. There are many pubs in Montreal, but what sets them apart are the staff in the hospitality. Judy's the gold standard & we can't wait to come back.

Je vais au McLean depuis belle lurette. J'y vais pour l'ambiance. Mais surtout en bonne compagnie. Vraiment ce qu'on recherche d'un pub irlandais qui se respecte. Vraiment. Parfois pour la musique. Pour la bière & quelques Shots de whisky irlandais Jameson (pas le meilleur, mais il se défend bien).

If you're looking for a pub, this is a great choice. They have a wide selection of beers, friendly staff, & tasty food-we tried fries & nachos both were good. If you're visiting with a group of 3 or more, try the 3-liter beer tower. It's a fun way to enjoy a few drinks together.

Endroit sympa qui a su répondre à nos attentes pour ce type de resto pub. Petit bémol concernant l'élasticité du fromage squick squick qui ne squickait pas vraiment. Mais bravo pour la sauce & les frites!

Came here for the Habs game & the place erupted when there was a goal. This is playoff hockey & this was a great spot to watch an away game. Great service, pub fare that you expect & a great atmosphere for a chill evening. Definitely come here for a beer & a Habs game!

This pub is fantastic! We were in town for a conference end of April, & this place quickly became a'go-to' for us. The service was always quick & efficient, which was no small feat because it was always packed & we were always in large groups. On one particular night it was so busy we were seated upstairs. Nez & Ricardo were amazing. There was not an empty seat but both of these gentlemen made sure that our glasses were never empty. At the end of the night I specifically asked for their names so I could leave this review. Outstanding pub. Outstanding service!
