Love the place for its steak & calamari. It's the best place in terms of quantity, quality, service & prices, which makes it a pearl nowadays! It feels cozy, almost like at a family dinner atmosphere, with everyone sitting close, speaking loudly, it's unpretentious, but food is served quickly & is excellent, waiters are very friendly. Expect a lineup if you go on the weekends in the evening (but totally worth the wait) & bring cash as they don't take any cards. There is an ATM machine however.Voir plus

The service is quick & friendly. We ordered calamari, lamb chops & chicken souvlaki.
Calamari was a big portion, delicious & tender! Must get as everyone in the restaurant had a plate on their table. Lamb chops were also very good, moist & flavorful. The chicken souvlaki wasn't that great as I found it to be dry, wish I ordered the rib steak instead. Every table seemed to have gotten basket of bread but we didn't & we didn't realized until halfway through our meal.
Would come back next time we're in Montreal to try the steak & definitely back for the calamari!Voir plus

We had the Chicken Skewers, Pork Skewers, Lamb Chops (so tender & perfectly cooked), & fried Calamari, along with all the classic sides. Everything was full of flavor & cooked just right. A must try restaurant in Montreal. Fried Calamari is amazing with their signature sauce, Greek salad, fries, or rice plus toasted bread. Generous size & probably will feed two people. Prices are still fair. We live in Ottawa, & every time we go to Montreal, it's our first stop.Voir plus

It was my first time eating Greek food, & it was a pleasant surprise. Their food is delicious, all the dishes were very tasty & well served. In fact, we could only eat the salad & the fried calamari, one of the dishes we took home, as we didn't have any room in our stomachs. The service is fast, efficient, & very good. Payment must be made in cash, so keep that in mind if you go there. They have an ATM available on site, in case you need it. Came here for an early lunch while in Montreal. This place has quite the reputation so we needed to try it out - & happy we did ! We had heard they are famous for their calamari but we didn't order that dish. I had the chicken souvlaki with a Caesar salad. Chicken was cooked perfectly! A deliciousy fresh meal & a great amount of food for the price. Make sure to have cash because it is cash only. The money spent gets a lot of food. Pictured is the two gyro plate with fries & rice which comes with a big Greek salad (with the best feta I've had in Montréal) & three pieces of garlic bread. I also ordered their platter of the calamari. Other reviews raved about the calamari & I see why: it is lightly fried & it is the largest portion of calamari I've ever seen. This meal for $52 could have fed two people & there still would have been leftovers.Voir plus
Stumbled upon this quaint little Greek restaurant, & WOW! Totally impressed!!! Amazing service, lovely atmosphere, excellent food. We were only here for quick appetizers, but having seen some of the other dishes that were being served, we will be back. Huge portions! Calamari were excellent! Spanakopita was good (could have cooked a tiny bit longer, though). Looking forward to coming back & trying some other dishes, for sure! Thank you 😊Voir plus

It's Marven's. A greek institution. While I lament the loss of their calamari supplier, I still think the food is fantastic & super cheap for what you get. You really can't go wrong with anything you order, just be careful with the pitas cuz sometimes they're a bit....loose, let's just say. All in all, great food, great service. Go there.Voir plus

Fried calamari were decent but lacked tenderness. The meat was very salty & not very tender. Caesar salad: average . Greek salad: good. The service was perfect. It's a loud place so hearing my friends wasn't easy. The only beer is Greek & there is no alcohol free beer. Cash only.Voir plus
