Quality of food has gone down extremely; especially their pita plates. They are willing to serve cold, overcooked meat stuffed into a pita that's mostly empty ... hardly any tomatoes, onions or tzatziki to help make the pita less dry. The Caesar salad was made with old wilted lettuce, the fries were limp & cold, as well as the rice. Used to be one of the best places to eat souvlaki, is now on my list to avoid. Service was mediocre, bus boy was the best out of everyone there. As well, the cash only policy needs to go; who carries cash nowadays, & why do they only want cash?

Du meilleur au pire ! J'allais chez Marven's pour leur assiette de calmars. Ils étaient réputés comme étant les meilleurs en ville. Hélas, ceux que j'ai mangé étaient pitoyables, les pires que j'ai jamais mangés. Caoutchouteux, tranchés à plus d'un pouce d'épaisseur. Le riz fade & froid. Les frites... La salade grecque sans concombres & avec un morceau de feta de qualité inférieure. C'est à mon avis ce qui arrive à ce restaurant. Le resto est plus sale que jamais. Ils ont augmenté leurs prix mais en vous servant de la nourriture de qualité moindre. De plus, ils ne prennent ni interac ni crédit. N'y allez pas.

I never get disappointed eating here even its often packed. The food is simple but delicious, esp the squid & steak.

The calamaris were amazing, the chicken & pork souvlakis & gyro meat were all tasty & actually very good. But the service was just horrible. Not only did our waitress basically ignore us. I ordered the Gyro Mix which is one gyro pita & one chicken pita. She told me they were out of chicken souvlakis but I could get a pork one. no problem. I get my plate. I have one chicken pita & one pork. No gyro meat at all. I dint complain because I'm not the type. But still.... I don't get why she had to lie. My boyfriends gyro plate was amazing though. Also the calamari entree is tiny! For $15 we were all very surprised to see how small the plate was. Also they still do not take cards. Beware I saw some reviews that said they did... but they dont. Also the place is horribly loud & crowded.

Tourlou les coucous! Bon, arrêtez de vous énerver, cette place en a perdu depuis le temps... calmars pas assez cuits & remplis d'huile à friture, tables graisseuses, les murs sont graisseux, tout est trop graisseux! Vous même allez sentir la grosse graisse en sortant de ce simili-greco-fastfood à la réputation surfaite. J'étais un gros fan, je ne le suis plus du tout.

Pas de réservations, on gèle dehors ou dans le minuscule portique non chauffé, si on est dehors, la porte n'est pas vitrée, attention, vous risque de la recevoir dans le front...
TRÈS BRUYANT, les employé sont poussés aux max, les pauvres.

on a eu la première tables Apres de l'escalier qui mène au sous-sol... à ÉVITER, on se fait pousser par les clignent impatients qui attendent une place & si il fait froid dehors, on est en plein courant d'Air.

La bouffe est correcte mais il n'y a pas de crevettes BUTTERFLY ni de sauce d'accompagnement pour les CALMARS.
Les portions sont généreuses, mais le riz ne goûte pas grand chose.

je donne toutes mes étoiles à Arahova.

Il y avait une longue file d'attente, c'est le moment le plus désagréable. Mais pour le reste c'est excellent comme toujours, j'y avait emmené un ami qui n'était jamais allé & bien aimé. Bon service & rapide.

I heard a lot of good things about this restaurant so me & my wife went for a dinner on a busy Saturday night.
we heard that they have the best fresh calamari.so,first of all ,this is a frozen calamari,from China,it tasted like gum with too much salt,if I want to eat salt I can do it in my own house.
now,the best lamb chops,really?
my lamb chops were so dry & burned,I guess when its gets busy,they can't take the pressure in the kitchen.
enough said,the lesson here is clear,don't believe to what you hear,go try it for yourself.

How do you know that the squids are frozen and from China?

I'm here in my kitchen eating leftovers because I just left this restaurant completely disappointed . It's not that the food was bad,it was o.k. but the service was terrible .My wife & I are disappointed with how far this place has fallen.Three waiters on the floor , all unshaven & dishevelled, & they were more interested in speaking loudly to each other than paying attention to their customers. After waiting to be seated, at our own discretion , we were finally seen by a waiter whose collar was left up [maybe he thinks he's Danny Zucco in the movie Grease] .He took our order & never asked if we wanted any thing to drink. He was too busy looking around the restaurant & not focusing at the table at hand . He came by again, dropped off 2 glasses of water & left in a flash,came back after a few minutes, I asked him for 2 appetizers & our main dishes & he replied that what I wanted had ran out & to choose something else,I didn't want anything else , so i was going to eat the appetizers only & that was fine with me.He brought one appetizer at a time ,we had asked for more bread with the first appetizer which he only brought after we finished the second one. Pointless. He also came back to our table & grabbed one of our plates & left with it. There was still food on our plate, we were not done eating just yet. Every time he came to our table, it was like a hit & run, never taking a few seconds to ask if everything was alright. I had to flag down another waiter to bring me some more water & Another waiter brought my wife's main course & placed it in front of me, I tried to tell him that it wasn't mine but he was gone so quickly. At this point I had enough, i asked our original waiter for our bill & my wife wanted to take the food home,he came back with our bill & a container for my wife to place her food in the container by herself. There really was no excuse for such terrible service, it was 8 o'clock in the evening & the restaurant was not busy, especially for 3 waiters on the floor in such a small place I have owned & operated 4 restaurants & currently a head chef at a popular italian restaurant in Dorval so I know this business.I will never go back to a restaurant with such inept & juvenile service. Left the restaurant with a bad taste in my mouth

The best Calamaris in town.
One of the best Greek restaurant, the food in very good, the service is fast.
Must look before ordering Lamb Chops. Sometimes they are nice & big, sometimes very small & not worth to order.
The steak is very good, nice, big & juicy. the only thing I do not like about this plate is the mushrooms. Mushrooms are ''sautés'', not fried & that is the way they cook the mushroom, deep fried. You just don't do that.
But I still recommend this place.

I absolutely love the Calimare at this place generous portions prompt polite service overall a very nice restaurant minus the decor which has not been updated it`s really great!!

the food was excellent. way too crowded, we had to wait in line out side for more than 20 minutes. may be because it was a weekend. other than that & parking, a must to eat place if u like sea food.

Déçu par l'accueil. Je pensais qu'un lundi serait une bonne journée pour retourner à ce resto que j'ai découvert dans les années 80.
La nourriture est semblable à plusieurs autres restaurants de ce type.
Le serveur était débordé & oublia des items que nous avions commandés.
Expérience décevante & heureux de ne pas avoir fait la queue pour cela.

Ce petit resto grec a été une superbe découverte pour moi. J'y suis allé 2 fois & j'ai adoré, je ne crois pas être le seul car la petite place est toujours remplie même à 3h de l'apres-midi ! Pour un prix plus que raisonnable, Marven's offre des énormes assiettes & des plats de qualité. Les gyros sont délicieux ! j'ai bien hâte d'y retourne

2 visites, 2 fois clients plus que satisfaits! Le resto en tant que tel est dur à repérer. C'est un resto de quartier qui semble modeste mais qui a en fait beaucoup de calibre.

C'est mon amie qui m'y a d'abord amenée pour que je goûte aux calmars (MIAM!) & au steak: je recommande fortement, au diable les dépenses, sérieusement!!!

Deuxième visite, c'est moi qui l'ai fait découvrir à un ami - & j'en ai parlé à ô combien d'autres. Cette fois, j'ai pris les calmars & l'agneau : toujours aussi bon.

À ma 3e visite, ce sera encore les calmars & le steak: désolée cher portefeuille, mais c'est vraiment le duo gagnant!

P.S. On n'y va pas pour le service, on y va pour les calmars ;)

There are some up & down in this very old restaurant. It use to be one of those restaurants that has huge line up during evening. This days, those line has been gone. Better customer controls or customer lost?

Service needs to be improve a bit. Either you are being recognize or complete ignore. If they do some mistake, they crack a joke to escape their mistake.

While the service are fifty fifty, The food shows better result than the service. Fast decent speed for a full house but some minor issue in the food like the portion has been shorten a bit or the sauce in their pita is delicious while it's hot, when it gets cold in time, it's kinda uneatable. Neither less, It stills offering you a good decent meal.

Decent meal & a gambling service. You'll also need a GPS because this restaurant is kinda hard to spot it. It doesn't appeal a restaurant from the outside & not the best location, but it's good to see this restaurant still running for several years.

The food used to be really good, I don't know what happened. Very salty, food has no taste, staff was really not polite, now smaller portions. I'm never going back again!
