The calamari at this restaurant is simply outstanding. The first thing that struck me was the perfect balance between the crispy exterior & the tender, flavorful interior of the calamari rings. They were cooked to perfection, not a hint of rubberiness. The accompanying dipping sauce was a delightful blend of tangy & savory, complementing the calamari beautifully. What truly set this dish apart was the thoughtful presentation - it was served piping hot on a bed of fresh greens, adding a refreshing contrast to the richness of the calamari. The portion size was generous, making it ideal for sharing. It's safe to say that this restaurant's calamari has set a new standard for me, & I can't wait to return for another round of this culinary masterpiece.

I have been coming to Marvens for years & it remains a reliable spot for a solid meal. The atmosphere is unpretentious & the service is always efficient even when the place is packed. I particularly enjoy the consistent quality of the food which is hard to find these days. It is definitely my go to choice when I want something satisfying without any fuss. The staff are welcoming & it is clear they care about their regulars.

Not bad at all. I stopped by for a quick lunch & was pleasantly surprised by the speed of the service. The servers were friendly & kept my coffee topped up throughout the visit. While it might not be a fine dining destination it serves its purpose perfectly as a comfortable place to grab a bite. The menu has plenty of variety so there is something for everyone regardless of their dietary preferences. Solid value for the money.

Decided to try this place after hearing some good things from neighbors. The interior is a bit dated but the food makes up for it entirely. Everything tasted fresh & the portions were quite generous for the price point. I appreciate that they focus on the essentials rather than trying too hard with fancy trends. It is a nice local establishment that deserves the support of the community. I will certainly be back to try more of the menu items soon.

Marvens is a true neighbourhood staple. You know exactly what you are going to get every single time you walk through the doors which is a comfort in itself. The environment is relaxed & the noise levels are manageable for a conversation. I have brought out of town guests here & they have always left satisfied. It is nice to see a business that focuses on quality ingredients & keeping customers happy rather than flashy marketing.

Plat exotique mais trop gros, surtout le poulet style grec. Prenez la moitié du poulet pour une personne, car il y a trop de riz & de viande. Bref, c'est très savoureux, j'ai beaucoup aimé la sauce tzatziki.

Prices are great especially for the quality of food. I just wouldn't recomend the fries, they're super dry. All their meat is high quality, I'd honestly come here for their calamari alone but the gyro meat is some of the best around. Worth the wait, the trick is to get someone to wait in the line for you, come at the end ;)

The food was really good! I enjoyed it & even though there was so many people in line, they still tried to ensure the clients didn't need anything & passed around to serve us whenever needed. They don't use cards so if you come, bring cash (or they have an atm downstairs). The meat was a bit more fatty than I remember & the bread they gave us were cold when they came to the table but it's all still good.
