'Disappointing experience tonight at Marven's. The food was great, but the service was awful. Our 17-year-old server had a major attitude & was disrespectful, bigotry towards, my 80-year-old mom. We were refused a table because we were waiting for one more person, despite arriving early & the restaurant not being busy. This lack of empathy & class was unsettling.
As a loyal customer, I expect better service, especially from a family-owned establishment. The usual staff member was absent, & the difference was noticeable. Unfortunately, due to this experience, we'll reconsider returning & take our business elsewhere. Poor service & disrespectful treatment, particularly towards seniors, are unacceptable.'
The food, service, & the ambiance is crazyy ! Generous portion & affordable price. NB: I was so close to die choking last week at Marven's 😂😂 It's hard to eat slowly there 🤤 Try their specialty : Steak, Lamb chops, & Calamar 🤤🤤🤤

It's Marven's. A greek institution. While I lament the loss of their calamari supplier, I still think the food is fantastic & super cheap for what you get. You really can't go wrong with anything you order, just be careful with the pitas cuz sometimes they're a bit....loose, let's just say. All in all, great food, great service. Go there.
Do not order their greek style whole chicken. Tasted boiled then bbq lightly. Barely seasoned. It was awful. We left 4 pieces & did not take the rest home. Yes that's how bad it was. Tzatziki is so so. Salad was pitiful, with soft feta. What remains good is their marvens sauce & good service. But that's not enough to beat competition which is not far from them, see my other review. Wish it was like before years back but it's lost its touch.
Marven's was a fantastic experience. From the quick service to the vibe it was amazing. The server was nice & the food was perfect.The only thing to note is that they only take cash & there is an ATM machine downstairs.

Marven's is hands down the best Greek restaurant I've been to! Been coming from Ottawa especially to eat here for the past 30 years very consistent, staff treats us like family. Service is fast, staff very courteous & food is AMAZING! Rib steak, calamari & lamb chops are the best I've had, their house sauce is great, authentic food amazing flavours.
My family & I have been eating at this location for over 25 years, we live in ottawa & average one trip a month to Marvens. Our kids now ask us to visit Marvens weekly, they love this place & so do we. The best Calamari, Steaks, Ribs, & anything else we have eaten here. The staff is always amazing, courteous, fast, & treat you like family.
Growing up, Marven's was my go to restaurant. Going back was amazing. There were renovations done yet they kept the charm that I remember back in the day. The food was so delicious & the sauce is still the bomb!

I haven't been to Marven's since I was a kid & it was total nostalgia!! The food was soooo yummy just like I remember it. The Marvens sauce on my fries was heavenly & the services was so welcoming & attentive!! Thank you Marvens for the amazing lunch yesterday!! We all loved it!!!
My family's go-to to celebrate our birthdays! Since last year we've been going go Marven's to celebrate all our birthdays. We usually get the lamb chops, calamari, & the steak plate. I've been going for years (more than a decade) & the quality remains the same & the service is great! The staff are super friendly.
I guess I have been living under a rock if I've never heard of Marven's! A hidden gem because the value is unbeatable. Huge portions & tasty. You have to try the calamari, crispy on the outside & tender in the inside. Every employee was so courteous & the one waiter was very hospitable. I am definitely coming back & telling everyone I know about this place. ***Only downside is that it's a cash only establishment.***
If you grew up in the Montreal area, you know Marven's & the amazing staff ALWAYS delivers on their taste & friendly service. The ONLY reason it's missing 1 star even after their renovations is because of the A/C. If you get a chance to visit Marven's, here are the basics you gotta order: Ribsteak, Lamb chops & calamari. Please do yourselves the favor & take it with the greek salad. Thank you Marven's for the years of supplying us with the exceptional experience!
Du meilleur au pire ! J'allais chez Marven's pour leur assiette de calmars. Ils étaient réputés comme étant les meilleurs en ville. Hélas, ceux que j'ai mangé étaient pitoyables, les pires que j'ai jamais mangés. Caoutchouteux, tranchés à plus d'un pouce d'épaisseur. Le riz fade & froid. Les frites... La salade grecque sans concombres & avec un morceau de feta de qualité inférieure. C'est à mon avis ce qui arrive à ce restaurant. Le resto est plus sale que jamais. Ils ont augmenté leurs prix mais en vous servant de la nourriture de qualité moindre. De plus, ils ne prennent ni interac ni crédit. N'y allez pas.
Ce petit resto grec a été une superbe découverte pour moi. J'y suis allé 2 fois & j'ai adoré, je ne crois pas être le seul car la petite place est toujours remplie même à 3h de l'apres-midi ! Pour un prix plus que raisonnable, Marven's offre des énormes assiettes & des plats de qualité. Les gyros sont délicieux ! j'ai bien hâte d'y retourne
