Enjoyed the lamb chops. So flavorful & large portions. The calamari appetizer was surprisingly good - perfectly cooked & not the usual chewy squid texture.
Attentive service & amazing food. The place is pretty small for how popular they are, so expect at least a 20 minute wait during peak hours. The lamb chops are flavorful & tender. Calamari is just lightly breaded & crispy & fresh. Greek salad comes with a block of feta cheese & not just feta crumbles. Highly recommend their pork gyro pita. Very large portion we had so much leftover to bring home.
Marven's is hands down the best Greek restaurant I've been to! Been coming from Ottawa especially to eat here for the past 30 years very consistent, staff treats us like family. Service is fast, staff very courteous & food is AMAZING! Rib steak, calamari & lamb chops are the best I've had, their house sauce is great, authentic food amazing flavours.
It was really really yummy food!!!! :) It was such a delightful experience. The lamb chops were absolutely delicious. Kind of wished I ordered 10 pieces instead of 5. The calamaris were extremely soft & delicious & such a big portion!! We really the experience. Highly recommend!!!!
This restaurant is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable culinary experience. Despite the occasional long wait, every minute is worth it once you sink your teeth into their delectable dishes. The lamb ribs, a standout on the menu, are nothing short of spectacular. Tender, succulent, & bursting with flavor, each bite is a symphony of taste that leaves you craving more. The chef's mastery in preparing this dish is evident, showcasing a perfect balance of seasoning & cooking technique. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply craving a culinary adventure, this restaurant is a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts. Despite the occasional wait, the heavenly flavors & impeccable service make it all worthwhile. Make sure to savor every moment & every bite - you won't be disappointed.
Nourriture excellente, c'est un incontournable Grecque à Montréal. LA SAUCE WAOW. mais ambiance moins conviviale. On mange & on part, mais on mange bien !
Classic Greek restaurant in Montreal. The fried calamari appetizer is very good & is enough to feed 4 people. I had the pork souvlaki. It was good but nothing extraordinary. I've had better souvlaki elsewhere. The complimentary bread was also not great. My friends ordered the lamb which was very good. Potato house fries are good as well. The rice & salad were average. Service was nice & fast. There are better Greek restaurants in Montreal in the plateau area but overall not a bad choice.
Impossibly crowded restaurant which, unfortunately , doesn't create a good first impression when you are waiting in the doorway for your table. Staff does a remarkable job trying to accommodate every arrival. The food is good, your basic chicken, pork, or lamb on a pita or in a platter, but I have to ask myself is it worth the wait? Cash only & no reservations makes little sense & seems to accommodate the owner more than the customers. Don't think I will be back for awhile.
Arrived at 6pm on Tuesday night, had 30min wait. So worth it. The food was delicious !!! Calamari , steaks, lamb chops, shrimps, salmon all cooked to perfection! Staff all friendly & efficient ! was impeccable! 5 stars !!!
