The lounge is perfect to have some drinks. & while they're not your 14$ + tax drinks you'll find at a random bar, but they will be well mixed & definitely pack their alcohol punch.View more
I have been here many times but never experienced this. Security asked me to "mandatory" check my coat if I was in the lounge/bar area. They told me it was the rules however there were other guest sitting across me throughout the night with jackets on. Did I feel targeted? Absolutely. See the photos in my review for the guests who were not obliged to check their jackets even though I pointed it out to the staff numerous times & they kept their jackets with them for the entire evening. Update Jan2025 - came here multiple times in January & such a great time. Food & service were great.View more
Beautiful restaurant inside the Four Seasons Hotel. The service was amazing & friendly. The drinks were good & change every few months. Food was very good, but i would almost consider some dishes to be fine dining dishes since portions are small but very fancy. To be full, you will definitely have to take an appetizer & dessert. Overall great experience. The waiter brings a platter of all the desserts available (about 6 options). The lounge late at night gets crowed, almost turning into a club. On the other side, the night lounge is perfect. Thank youView more
I celebrated my birthday at MARCUS restaurant + lounge. My party had a great time & we were satisfied with all the delicious food & drinks.View more
HONEST take 😕 Over the last 3 years, I've been to this place more than 10 times; Sometimes alone, sometimes on a date, & often to celebrate with family. First, it's a great place, but I wouldn't bother recommend it if you're looking for the best experience in town. While the food feels like it's done with love, it can get quite pricey. The portions are relatively small, & while I understand it's gastronomy, the reduction in size over the past year is notable. The salad tastes quite basic, more like something a cow would eat. I also suggest skipping the focaccia plate in the lounge, as it's essentially the same as the complimentary bread they give free if you ask. Service can be hit or miss. We had some servers who were thoughtful & patient, while others seemed to force their smiles, making it awkward. don't feel compelled to give the 15% tip for service that doesn't meet expectations, especially in places where the staff may overestimate their service. Additionally, there seems to be a consistent issue with getting water... Yes you read it right. Each time I've dined in the lounge, I end up playing a game of eye contact to request water. The only time we received water without asking was when we were CHARGED 24$ for 2 bottles, quite a surprise! We didn't finish it, & they didn't offer to let us take it with us. Waste water... Ultimately, I wouldn't choose this restaurant for an ordinary outing. However, I do recommend it if it's for a time, a moment to share with someone but OCCASIONALLY. Personally i probably won't but I do enjoy the lounge because it's more comfortable, warm, & feels private "less serious". They could definitely improve their service & the variety of food & desserts there but well. While the dishes still taste good & the restaurant is beautifully designed, don't be swayed too heavily by either 1 star or 5 stars reviews. Each experience is pretty unique, & while it's a decent place, it's not the greatest in the area. With some improvements, it could be a no-brainer really exceptional place.View more
Très belle soirée au Lounge du Marcus. Francis nous a placées au meilleur endroit pour profiter de l'ambiance festive. Le service de Lambert au bar était personnalisé & chaleureux. Leur présence a rendu notre soirée inoubliable! Un must à Montréal!View more
Don't let the cocktails menu stop you. They'll make almost whatever you want, although the Aperol Spritz was maybe a little too sweet... The ambiance on the lounge with sunset was so great that we decided to order a Seafood Tower (sufficient for 5 & delicious) with wine & drinks instead of waiting for our table in the restaurant. I highly recommend!View more
Je n'avais pas eu l'occasion l'année dernière d'aller au restaurant. J'étais restée au lounge! La cuisine y est savoureuse & les serveurs aux petits soins. J'ai également apprécié la présentation des desserts. Je recommande !!!!View more
I stopped in at this Restaurant for brunch with a friend & it was the perfect spot to go to. First of all, the space is gorgeous. I was lucky to go on a day where the weather was nice, so they had the windows open, letting in fresh air & a gentle breeze. Weirdly, at the far end of the restaurant by the windows, there seemed to be some water leaking from the planters, which was very weird. Other patrons at nearby tables also pointed it out to the manager, so it must be a new issue they're having. Aside from that one issue, the restaurant is beautiful. The attached lounge is also nice, but needs more frequent sweeps & service to maintain a polished appearance & avoid cups left over from previous guests & chairs not tucked in. As for the food, I got the Pancakes, which were delicious & lemon-y & rich, & the Blueberries were perfectly ripe. None were overly soft or mushy. I also got some bacon, which was fine, but nothing special. My friend got the French Toast which was decadent & crispy on the outside, warm & soft on the inside, a perfect taste. We also got the seasonal juice, which was something watermelon carrot, but I wasn't a fan of it, personally. Ultimately, this restaurant is on the pricier end of the spectrum but they more than make up for it with the quality & taste of their food. I will definitely go back & try other menu items! Do note their brunch is only on weekends.View more
Great service as per usual, the restaurant was fully booked but Richard & the hostesses managed to secure us a table. Catherine & Aaron took good care of us in the lounge while we waited for our table.View more
Beautiful open kitchen restaurant & lounge. Love the crystal drapery & stunning stone work on the bar & tables. Brunch was delicious with variety of omelettes options & mimosas.View more
Marcus Lounge in Montreal impresses yet again! Visited for a drink & as always, their cocktails were spot on. The Bourbon Sour is a must-try, perfectly mixed. But the real highlight was the Olivier Jules, a personal creation of mine, which they crafted to perfection. It's places like this that make Montreal's cocktail scene truly special. Cheers to Marcus Lounge! 🍸👌View more
I am very disappointed at the service & attitude I received at the lounge I am a Marcus fan club & for the past weeks I have been going every week. I love the vegetarian option on the menu plus the tomato watermelon salad. 2 weeks ago on a Saturday night I took a freind who was visiting from Chicago to Marcus lounge. We got there at 8:30 pm & it so dead. The reason was because there was Christmas parties all around. The A assistant refused to let us in !!!! I was shocked & embarrassed in front of my freind. The guy did not let us in & gaslighted & insulted me. I m very upset & disappointed. So I am going again with my sick colleagues.View more
This is an excellent restaurant. The staff was professional & very welcoming. The atmosphere was light & all areas of the restaurant were very clean including the washrooms. They have a great lounge space to take amazing pictures with good lighting. The food was amazing. 10/10. The waiter was very nice, & was up to our expectations. My partner & I had an amazing time.View more

While visiting Montreal for the weekend to celebrate my mother's birthday, we decided to try the Marcus restaurant, recommended by a friend. Despite being fully booked, I was told when I called that they were accepting walk-ins. The ambiance didn't match the elegance I expected from a Four Seasons property. Upon arrival, the initial interaction with the hostess left much to be desired. She was dismissive, stating that the bar was full, empty tables were for hotel guests, & the kitchen was closing soon, implying we should leave. Despite the unwelcoming atmosphere & loud music, we opted to wait, as we had no other immediate options nearby. The hostess, who indicated she would let us know when a table became available, ignored us while we waited in the lounge. Eventually, I discovered the restaurant's host on the other side & was promptly seated. The food was excellent, salvaging our experience. However, the party-like atmosphere within a Four Seasons hotel seemed odd. A note to the hostess: exclusivity shouldn't equate to rudeness. You could have politely directed us to the restaurant instead of making us feel unwelcome, especially considering it was my older mother's birthday. To management: Instead of a customary apology, take actionable steps to train your staff for better hospitality. This review aims to inform others about the experience to expect. Actions speak louder than apologies.View more
