Restaurant Moon Star is a hidden gem located in Park-Extension.
The food they serve, especially their chicken roast polao, is among the best of Bengali cuisine. It is juicy & mouth watering & you won't leave this restaurant without getting more meals to eat at home.
Combined the great food with the amazing hospitality of the owner who makes you feel at home, this place is easily in my top 5 picks to eat out at Parc-Extension. Do not miss this place!View more

Its famous for the quality food it serves!
Its open 24/7.
The food is very fresh & tasty.
We ordered Roast Polau. It was freshly made & superb.
Also, when we got there was no kebab. But then the owner cooked for us. She is very cordial & friendly. She will make her guest feel welcome.
She is very generous also gifted us a dessert.
Overall its a fantastic restaurant. This is Bangladeshi origin. Highly recommended.View more
A Hidden Gem in Montreal - A Taste of Bangladesh!
We traveled from Ottawa for a day trip to Montreal & chose Moonstar based on its high rating. At first glance, the entrance & décor might seem a bit underwhelming, but trust us-once you taste the food, you'll understand why this place is so highly rated.
The flavors took us straight back to Bangladesh, especially the biye bari r roast polau, which was perfectly spiced & incredibly comforting. We also had the tehari & haleem, both bursting with rich, traditional flavors. Every dish felt like a nostalgic trip home.
All in all, highly recommended-this spot is a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic Bangladeshi cuisine in Montreal!View more

We had sehri at Marche Moon Star a couple of night ago. 3 of us got the sehri platter (we chose chicken curry, shorshe ilish & beef bot as the proteins, alongside rice, daal, 2 types of bhorta, mixed vegetable & salad) & 1 of us got roast polao dish. The food was super tasty & fresh. We even got complimentary fruit & desserts from the owner & discounted price for the meal. The service is amazing as well. They are open 24/7 for the whole month of Ramadan. Highly recommended!!View more

Amazing service! We ordered everything from the Rice Items (Tehari, Chicken Roast Polao, Kacchi, Grilled Chicken), fruit juices, dudh cha, & borhani!
Each of them were top tier! I would say this is the best Bangladeshi restaurant in Montreal! Beautiful authentic food!View more
Restaurant Review If you're looking for a place that excels in classic flavors, this restaurant is a hidden gem. The chicken roast is perfectly seasoned & cooked to perfection, with tender meat that practically melts in your mouth. The spices strike a beautiful balance-not too overpowering but just enough to make you crave more. Their polau rice is equally impressive. Fragrant, fluffy, & infused with delicate spices, it pairs wonderfully with the chicken roast, creating a comforting & satisfying meal. The ambiance is warm & welcoming, making it a great spot for family dining or casual get-togethers. The service is prompt, & the staff is attentive. Whether you're a fan of traditional dishes or trying them for the first time, this restaurant will not disappoint. Highly recommended for food lovers!View more

I ordered roast pulao, kachchi & tehari. Ordered around 6.45pm & went there to pick up at 8pm. Food was not ready. The lady at the cash said almost ready give me 10 mins. That 10 mins ended up being 45 mins. Long story short, they didn't prepare anything despite ordering an hour before. I also asked them to put the roast & pulao separately which they didn't do. They do not have any experience running a restaurant as they were giving out packs to someone which were prepared for someone else. Even they gave away kachchi to someone else which was packed for me. They had plastic chairs & tables with different color table clothes. Even the name on google has not been changed. It still says Marche Moon Star. It's sad to see this type of mismanagement. At least the food was tasty. Overall experience & service could be improved significantly.View more
Today visited this authentic Bengali restaurant with my family for lunch, & it was a fantastic experience. Their chicken biryani & roast polao were both delicious. For dessert, the kheer, made with coconut, was exceptional. The owner was very cordial & welcoming. I highly recommend this place!View more

Their Pulao Roast is a masterpiece! One bite & I was transported back to Dhaka. The fragrant rice, the perfectly seasoned chicken-it's pure comfort on a plate. They serve authentic Bangladeshi food at prices you can't beat. Seriously, can you name a better Bangladeshi restaurant? I'll wait!View more
