We visited on Sunday evening, & the restaurant was relatively quiet. The food was good than we expected. However, although the restaurant was not full, the male server appeared disengaged. It took a very long time just to get water. Unfortunately, service seems to be an issue in many places, as staff often appear enthusiastic only when it comes time to receive tips.

Rice is mid city, get the potatoes instead. Cheesecake is whatever, wouldn't order it again, just fine. Chicken souvlaki is good, not dry & good grill flavour. Good portion of Greek salad. Good service from the staff 👍

For a sit down restaurant, nothing beats Marathon's. It's almost impossible to finish your plate & the prices are very reasonable. There is a reason it's always busy. Great food, great prices & very fast service.

(Read below addendum) Shocked how quickly this place went downhill. Food was obviously smaller portions & tasted completely different. Ordered by phone ahead & people were very rude. Shocking! They were good for many years. Until now.

Addendum: well we tried it again & it's as great as expected. Love the food! Guessing the issue was due somehow that our previous order was done during the holidays.
Thank you Marathon for coming back & giving us your great food!

We celebrated my brother's birthday at Marathon Restaurant & had a fantastic experience. The food was good, we ordered the calamari, chicken brochette, & souvlaki, all of which were fresh & full of flavour. What really stood out, though, was the service. Peter, our server, was exceptional: attentive, friendly, & made sure everything was perfect throughout the evening.

Overall, a great place for a special occasion or a relaxed night out. We'll definitely be back.

Food was good overall. This isn't a high-end or fancy place, but it's a solid casual restaurant with lots of choices on the menu. Portions were big, which was a nice bonus. Our waiter was very nice, attentive without hovering, & we never felt rushed to leave. Overall, a relaxed & enjoyable dining experience.

We eat there all the time! Delicious food & quick service & affordable too! We always get the chicken brochette plate & add a souvlaki. The calamari is delicious. I have no pictures because I start eating the moment the food gets infront of me. Shout out to Thomas, he was an excellent server & so good at his job. Thomas noticed when I was picking at my tooth & got me a tooth pick to remove the food stuck!!!!!! Thank YOU!

Cheap fast Greek Food is the name of the game here. The chicken in the gyro was dry & the Greek salad was bland. I like to cook & I feel that I could do it better myself at home. It's saving grace is that the food came quick & it's affordable.

We had an absolutely phenomenal experience at Marathon Souvlaki on Sources! From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless! We barely had to wait, & the service was outstanding! Our waiter Thomas, truly made our evening special. He was incredibly friendly, funny, & attentive, & checking in at different stages to make sure everything was perfect. He genuinely cared about giving us the best experience possible!
The portion sizes were terrific, the food was delicious, & the overall atmosphere was warm & welcoming. We were there for a family reunion, & thanks to the exceptional staff (especially Thomas) it turned into a memorable evening for all of us. Huge thanks to the entire team (front & back of house) for such a wonderful night. We'll definitely be back!

We had an incredible experience at Marathon Souvlaki, & a huge part of that was thanks to Thomas. We were a group of ten celebrating a party, & from the moment he greeted us, he brought energy, humour, & professionalism to the table.

Thomas is genuinely funny, dynamic, & completely in his element. He handled our large group effortlessly, kept everything running smoothly, & had us laughing throughout the evening without ever missing a beat. His timing, attention to detail, & warm personality made everyone feel welcome & taken care of.

It's rare to find a waiter who can elevate an entire evening the way Thomas did - he truly made our night memorable. Exceptional service, great vibes, & an unforgettable experience. If you're lucky enough to have Thomas as your waiter, you're in for a fantastic time!
