Great Service, but I don't know what happend,
they started serving the gyros with arabic pita, & the tzadziki was thin like it was cut sour cream, what is next on the list, cut the pork for beef?View more

I ordered for delivery, so I can't comment on the service or atmosphere. However, the food is simply magnificent
- The meat is delicious, well seasoned & full of flavour
- Their Tzatziki is perfect
- The food (Gyros platters or pita) are the best in town

This place has not changed in like 30 years - & that's a good thing. Still, for my money, the best tzatiki in town. Portions are ginormous, it's an old school Laval Greek family restaurant. Parking is a bit of a pain. Service is fine, though could do without the annoyed look when asking for modifications. Also free refills on the sift drinks would be appreciated. The pitas, salads & pikilia are all fantastic.View more

EDIT The prices have gone up from 12,75$ to 20$ for the souvlaki pita plate & the quality has downgraded. Tiny piece of feta (today it was 2mm thick) less vinaigrette sauce, less black olives, etc even the candy at the end. We used to come often but we cannot afford to come as often & we now share a plate & buy a second pita. .......... This is our comfort food. Delicious greek food, affordable (which is rare nowadays) & quick service. I always have the souvlaki (pork) plate with Marathon salad & half & half (rice/potatoes). If you prefer to have the greek salad, the tomatoes are so fresh & tasty, you won't be disappointed. The only downsides to the Laval location are the parking (very limited) & the A/C is too cold (we're always freezing).View more

I have been going to Marathon since the beginning over 4 decades Removing the original bread for pita 🫓 isn't the smartest move. The bread should be put back immediately even if the restaurant charges for it.View more

Tout est bon chez Marathon. On ne se trompe pas à commander le gyro pita, la brochette de poulet, le tzatziki & le spanakopita... & que dire de la salade Marathon! Elle est unique & délicieuse. Ce que j'aime par dessus tout chez Marathon c'est leur accueil & leur sourire. Autant l'hôtesse que les hommes en cuisine. Tout le monde vous salue & vous sourie. Une denrée rare de nos jours, mais qui fait la différence pour moi.View more

I did a take out order. I love marathons but my god they are getting cheap on the rice & fries in a chicken pita plate. Come one guys there is. Irving cheaper than rice. Don't give me a little round cup of rice fill it up like you used too!View more

Always consistent. I always order the porc gyro pita & enjoy it. Only complaint I have is why are the tomatoes, cucumbers & onions cut so big for the salad.View more

The place is overall good , the atmosphere is not great, clean but feels like a cafeteria then a cozy greek restaurant, staff are respectful & attentive overall, the food is also overall good ( had the chicken pita & Calamari), the quantity is not at all generous, normally if it is high price like that it is justified by the large quantity served, not the case ( they must either reduce the prices or at least give a nice generous quanity & not skimp on ingredients) , I am often at other greek restaurants & others in general & I do see higher prices like that but it is always justified at least by much larger quantities, the greek salad is very small & you feel they are skimping on some ingredients e.g. papers & the feta cheese is so thin & almist any olive oil & literally one olive & it is spread thin across the plate to fill plate space, the pita was good on the other hand, the chicken is nice & well marinateand & the tatzeki was very good as well. The Calamari was good but also small quantity for the price. Conclusion it is too expensive for what it is.View more

Been going there since Day one, I don't mind the price increase things go up, BUT when I take home a Chicken Pita & it a mini amount of meat, this is a problem, I was thinking of calling but why waste my time.View more
