When we were leaving, we asked if they had Cannoli for breakfast the next day, & the owner offered us their daily special Zeppole. It was mind-blowing, & he even refused to take money for it since it was his suggestion to try it. I never expected that in a big city like Montreal. Highly recommend if you're in the area & want some quick Italian pastries or Arancinis.
Asian mothers typically use leftover rice to make fried rice or porridge; Italian mothers, on the other hand, take leftover Italian risotto, wrap it around cheese, ham, mushrooms, & other ingredients, & fry it into rice balls shaped like little oranges. They're served hot, & the cheese stretches beautifully when you bite into them-very delicious!
I recently discovered Manuzza Arancini Bar & Mercato in Little Italy, & it quickly became one of my favorite spots in Montreal. If you're a fan of Italian food or just looking for something delicious & authentic, this place is a must-try.
The arancini here are incredible - crispy on the outside, perfectly seasoned & creamy inside, with a great variety of fillings. I've tried several flavors, & each one was packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients. It's clear they put a lot of care into making these traditional Sicilian snacks.
The staff are friendly & welcoming, which makes the experience even better. The atmosphere is cozy & casual, perfect for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner. They also have options for gluten-free & vegan diets, which I really appreciate.
I've ordered both in-store & for takeout, & the food always arrives fresh & tasty. Prices are reasonable considering the quality & portion size.
If you want authentic Sicilian flavors without leaving Montreal, Manuzza is the place to go. Highly recommend it for anyone craving something different & delicious!
The bread was extremely hard & the chicken patty inside was dry. No wonder it's always empty when I walk by. Just go to Panino Pazzo for a sandwich instead. They have the best Italian sandwiches.
A true gem of a find. This is an Italian-style bar (casual finger food & coffee). It's a true taste of Sicily. The pane panelle & Margarita arancino were absolutely divine. The arancino was very nice & crispy on the outside without being overly done. The inside was nice & creamy & flavorful. While the cannolo was good, it wasn't my favorite. The shell was incredibly crisp, & the filling creamy, but I can't quite put my finger on why it wasn't my favorite. My friend enjoyed an almond cookie & thoroughly enjoyed it! If I didn't live so far away, I would be a regular at this bar!
Authentic italian food with authentic italian people. Very cozy, service was amazing & the food was incredible. Extremely recommended.
Tried this at the Italian festival upon a friends recommendation. Tried the ragu & spinach arancini. Best arancini I’ve ever had!
