We just felt like eating a hearty salad. We had chosen the ingredients we wanted, as you can do this in their menu, but we just didn't realize that the bill was going to climb up that high: 96 $ for 2 only salads eith very few pieces of turkey cold cuts ?! We had a comparable salad in Hollywood & at the Culver Studios in L.A., & we paid half the price!!View more
Pretty good salad. Not digging the new wooden forks though. :(
EDIT:
What happened to Mandys? The chicken doesnt even taste like chicken anymore.. They got rid of the Caesar salad to be replaced by Julius Caesar & you have to pay extra for the Egg. I used to eat here every week & now its more like once a month & the price keeps going up up up.View more
Finally made it to the Montreal landmark & I wasn't disappointed! I had the Lumberjack salad & it was amazing! The Salad was plentiful & filling. The price was, as expected & the ingredients were fresh & flavourful. Definitely worth the wait.View more
This place is extremely overrated in my opinion. Costco salads in bags taste better for less than half the price.View more
This place used to be good. Unfortunately, over time, the quality & service deteriorated while the prices continued to increase. Overrated.View more
The sign outside the business is way too bright at night. Can't even look in that direction without being blinded by it. Salads taste good but went up in price way too much after covid.View more
We needed a shot of afternoon espresso so Mandy's was the only place that had an empty parking spot in front of it.
The place looks absolutely fabulous, a touch of old, a touch of new, an array of salads served in artsy bowls.
Unfortunately, I was looking for the usually large espresso machine but could not find it. Instead, they had a singular Nespresso machine & at a price of $4.00 (one shot) it would be served in a paper cup. Hm. I said "No thanks".
Prices of salads are, if you ask me, a bit exorbitant. For $15 a salad,it must be exceptional & within the walls of a well reputed restaurant. This is not a restaurant or a bistro per se. It is a coffee shop. For the price I'd probably go elsewhere. But then again, if one charges $4.00 for an espresso, it should not be served in a paper cup (unless of course you want it "to go").
