Notre place de choix lorsque nous allons pour un week-end à Montréal malgré la panoplie de bar à vin dans la ville! Cependant, le service est souvent innatentionné & plutôt lent (considérant que ton verre de vin peut être vide plus de 10 minutes & que les serveurs parlent entre eux derrière le bar). Peut-être que nous sommes malchanceux mais il est difficile de réussir à commander autre chose. Outre le service que nous avons eu lors des dernières visites, c'est un endroit chaleureux où vous pouvez déguster de délicieux plateaux de charcuterie/fromage bien garni. Sans mentionner la sélection de vin qui est toujours bien intéressante!
Wanted to go for a long time & was not disappointed! From the start the staff was super friendly & the food was to die for, good wines also! Will definitely go back ! A must !

I've been here a handful of times & enjoyed it. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was very poor. I made a reservation for 8 people & was told it'd be a $50 set menu per person. Unfortunately, two guests cancelled so we were only 6. We arrived for our reservation & they told us someone called in the afternoon & cancelled the reservation. I had my email thread with the restaurant confirming the reservation so it was a very strange situation. Eventually after a 15 minute wait, they seated us but tried to make us pay for the $50 per person menu for 8 people even though we were only 6 now. They claimed the food was prepared which didn't make sense given that that they told us our reservation was cancelled earlier in the day? Eventually, they agreed to only charge us for a 6 person set menu. Beyond that, the set menu they served was just very poor, only two small pieces of cheese with a weird variety of other elements that didn't coordinate well together. Just poor overall. I won't be returning & honestly the awkwardness of the situation kinda ruined the dinner which was to celebrate my birthday :(
Première expérience chez Mamie & sûrement pas la dernière ! Sam a fait de notre expérience un doux moment savoureux & délicieux ! Nice crowd ! Great wines & few signature cocktails without forgotten great finger tasty food 😋
Super fast service. Great host. Food was delicious. We had 1 serving of sweatbread, one serving of ancestral tomatoes, one serving of bar crudo, one serving of onglet steak & 2 serving of snails for 3 people. The snails were so good we had to get more before dessert. I'd give a solid 4.5/5 ⭐️ if possible.
Après en avoir fait l'expérience, on comprend mieux pourquoi l'endroit est toujours bondé! La carte est plutôt peu fournie, mais est gage d'une attention toute particulière quant à la qualité de ce que l'on vous sert! Le service est également très bon. Petite remarque: on ne peut pas réserver pour moins de six personnes, alors il faut y aller tôt ou être prêt à patienter un peu avant d'avoir une table.
NE SURTOUT PAS Y ALLER EN GROUPE! 200$ (50$/tête) la planche apéro à partager à 4, une sacrée arnaque! Bien que les produits soient bons on ressort de là avec le ventre peu rempli & le sentiment de s'être bien fait avoir. On vous sert tout de même un digestif à la fin histoire de vous faire passer la pilule gentiment!

On nous dit 10 min d'attente, puis 20, puis on sera installé 1h20 plus tard, & servi 30 min après. On nous fait installer à côté pour nous faire consommer, on me propose un verre de vin sans me montrer le prix ( tout de même 17$). L'ambiance au restaurant est survoltée. Un groupe derrière moi hurlera dans mes oreilles tout de souper. Je n'ai jamais mangé nulle part avec un tel niveau sonore ! On est mal installé sur ces petits tabourets à mini dossier. Il faut faire du xs pour être bien assis. La serveuse est très professionnelle & a perdu sa voix dans le bruit. La nourriture est bonne mais sans plus. Les escargots un peu farineux. Les asperges très bien cuites & croquantes, la sauce gribiche ressemble plutôt à une béarnaise. Une bonne adresse si on aime payer cher pour manger dans du bruit après 2h15 d'attente
Walking in to Mamie, I instantly felt at home. It's a wonderful place! The food & services was excellent, but the wine list caters more to a light French wine preference, so if you're like me & enjoy something more full bodied you might be disappointed. We ordered just the barbecued asparagus, which was good, so I definitely want to go back & explore the rest of the menu. The Charcuterie Board looks great to share with a group.
