About

Mamie centers its culinary focus on the production of artisanal charcuterie and elevated comfort food staples. The kitchen emphasizes traditional curing techniques and slow-cooked preparations to create a menu defined by depth and texture. Each dish utilizes carefully sourced proteins and seasonal ingredients to anchor the dining experience in simple, robust flavors. The interior environment balances rustic elements with a clean, functional layout to accommodate focused interactions centered around the food. Patrons engage with a selection of house-made preparations that prioritize quality over ornamental plating styles. This establishment functions as a primary destination for those seeking consistent, technique-driven preparation of cured meats and traditional bistro-style dishes. The result is an objective culinary output that relies upon the integrity of ingredients and the precision of basic cooking methodologies.

Review Summary

Mamie is widely celebrated as a charming neighborhood gem, praised for its cozy, authentic atmosphere and an impressive selection of wines, including convenient options on tap. Guests frequently highlight the excellent value of the menu, noting the high quality of charcuterie boards, perfectly cooked steak frites, and standout desserts like the mille-feuille and chocolate mousse. The patio is consistently described as a beautiful spot for summer dining, and while the experience is generally characterized by warm, professional service and a welcoming vibe that feels like home, some visitors have occasionally encountered inconsistent pacing or service hurdles during busier periods. Overall, it remains a favorite destination for those seeking a relaxed bistro experience with delicious, straightforward food and a great drink selection.

Cute place & impeccable terasse vybes. The service is 10/10 & prices are super fair. The place is quite big so you'll most likely get a table. I would just say that the food/apéro was good but not great. I would return for the wine list though! Worth it if you're in the neighborhood.

My girlfriend & I had the pleasure of dining here yesterday evening, & it was honestly one of the best restaurant experiences we've had in a long time.

We decided to sit out on the patio, & as the sun started to set, it created the perfect atmosphere. It was peaceful, relaxing, & made for such a great evening. The table was spotless when we arrived, & the staff greeted us with warm smiles & excellent service from beginning to end. Everyone was friendly, attentive, & made us feel genuinely welcome.

The food was outstanding. The charcuterie board was definitely the highlight of the meal. It was beautifully presented, incredibly fresh, & offered a fantastic variety of meats, cheeses, & accompaniments that all paired perfectly together. Every bite was delicious, & it's something I'd absolutely order again.

The eggs were cooked perfectly as well-fresh, flavorful, & surprisingly memorable. Sometimes the simplest ingredients say the most about a kitchen, & these were excellent.

To top it all off, the beer was served ice cold, exactly the way it should be, & the wine was perfectly chilled & complemented the meal beautifully.

What really impressed us, though, was the value. The portions are incredibly generous, & you get an amazing amount of food for the price. It's rare to find a place that delivers such high quality while also giving you so much for your money. If you're looking for great value, this place is hard to beat.

Between the amazing food, fantastic service, beautiful patio, & welcoming atmosphere, everything came together to create a perfect evening. We left full, happy, & already talking about coming back. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable meal & excellent value. Five stars all the way!

We've always loved Mamie on Beaubien & decided to try Comptoir Mamie. The first visit for lunch was superb! Fantastic sandwiches at a fair price. The atmosphere & service are excellent, as they are on Beaubien. A few weeks later we went on a Thursday night & as usual it was great experience. The parfait aux champignons & moule-frites were standouts. For great food & wine in Montreal you can't for wrong with either location. Once you try it, you'll love it & keep going back!

You really cannot beat the price for the quality you get here. Their house wine is fantastic & so are their dishes. Love the charcuterie boards!!

Came here for a friends bday & very nice spot! The menu is quite selected, more snack than meals. We ended up sharing La planche du chef, which is suggest to be for 4 people, & I would say that portion makes sense! We essentially were able to sample the whole menu with it. The steak & leeks were my favourite!
They have a good selection of wine & have wine on tap for pretty good prices, however it's not the best wine ever but price point ratio very good (acidic wine).
Atmosphere is cute however the classic high tables with bar stools aren't the most comfortable. Server was very nice! Only thing a bit frustrating is they have the menu written on a chalkboard that the waiter brings to explain (explained very well) but I prefer being able to hold a menu & look it over.
I would come back!
