Soooo good experience!
First of all the place is very nice, with typical decoration & ambiance! Staff was so welcoming & warm, very professional service & not long waiting. Now the food... ooooh my god! So delicious, so tasty & succulent! It starts with a creamy chiken soup offered for free, for the principal dish, i took the lamb shank... I don't have words to describe it..Tender meat cooked to perfection, served with a sauce made with Middle Eastern spices, just amazing! With a very generous portion of rice! My friends took different kebab dishes, they were pleased with their choices. I tried the baklava cheese cake, exceptional 😋
I strongly recommend this restaurant & I'll definitely go back again.
Really great Persian food in montreal! We recieved complimentary soup as entrees & ordered the saffron chicken & the filet mignon & lamb meat dishes. For dessert we had the saffron rice pudding & baklava cheesecake. Cannot say enough good things. Really lovely staff & the place was full with families. Thank you for the great meal ! We will come back again 🩷
The soup was good. The koobideh was mostly fat. It was wobbly like jello. It also smelled like chicken. I will let the reader make deduction.
... & even that took them more than an hour from taking the order to serve for a party of 8.
When I complained to the waiter about the delay in service. She simply replied to my surprise:'Well, don't pay tips.' When I argued that the tip goes to her. She replied that they did not distribute the tips among their staff!
The Halim bademjan was super tasty 🤌 & the soup was great too! I ordered Gheimeh nesar & the portion was very generous. The taste was great as well & the smell of the food was amazing. The fresh bamieh for dessert was absolutely delicious. I recommend this Persian restaurant!
My friend & I tried the lamp shank, Barg, Kashke bademjan & sholezard. The food & the vibe were good. The waitress was really nice & welcoming but she said the main dish comes with soup but she didn't bring any (Maybe I am wrong or she just forgot). I wish they were serving Sangak instead of pita. Also I wish the Barg was less salty & more juicy. I really recommend that they put better photos on their menu & more descriptions & details as it sounds confusing for non-Iranians. I recommend this place & will try again. But I hope in my next visit they don't forget the soup.
We had a lovely Sunday lunch here with our grandparents & toddler, & the experience was flawless. The staff were incredibly gracious, friendly, & considerate, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in.
The restaurant itself has tasteful decor & a wonderful atmosphere. It's quiet enough to have a proper conversation without shouting, & the tables are spaced far enough apart that you never feel cramped-even with a larger group.
As for the food: it was amazing & the portions were very generous. A lovely surprise was that the mains included a complimentary soup appetizer, which was delicious & a very thoughtful touch.
Beef Stew: Traditionally prepared, beautifully presented, & so flavorful.
Koobideh: This absolutely blew my mind! It was a huge hit with our toddler, too.
Shrimp Rice: Simply out of this world.
We're already looking forward to our next visit!
Excellent food, Nothing but quality & worth your time. Fresh, flavours, hearty & simple dishes. We shared a meal with 2 adults & it was well worth it. We got a amazing entree soup tasted like heaven (young children & adults approved)
The lamb shank, the pita bread, the mast-o-moosir, the rice, the soup; everything was great! Service & vibes were top notch too, definitely recommend!!
Tout était délicieux, de la soupe au dessert en passant par le koobideh & le Gheimenesar. 10 sur 10! À essayer absolument.
Omg, incredible. we ordered Koobide plate & Koobide Sandwich, Baglava cheese cake & Gheime Nesar, everything was delicious, they welcomed us with a super yummy soup. service , quality, portions & decoration 10/10
It's great. I highly recommend it. At a glance, the prices might look a little steep, but every meal comes with a soup, which is absolutely gorgeous, & the portion is enough that 2 meals could feed 3 adults for sure. I'll come back & try something else for sure.
Honestly, words can't truly capture it, but in short:
Your journey into a world of delight begins with the magical soup, & the epic battle begins the moment the glistening, juicy grills arrive, hiding behind hills of rice rising like a yellow aurora.
It would be a shame not to reward yourself with a dreamy meal from Maman Sady Restaurant.
Absolutely exquisite experience. Spotlessly clean & beautifully decorated restaurant with great ambiance & comfortable seating. The staff is wonderful: accomodating, always smiling, immaculately dressed with freshly pressed outfits. Clearly, this is an establishment that takes pride in it's craft. As for the food, if you haven't tried Persian cuisine highly recommend the 6 dish entree sample platter for $23 with a generous amount of pita. The chicken & veal skewer were perfect: so tender & juicy & it came with a huge generous plate of fluffy saffron rice. My personal favorite (I went back the next day for another!) is their chicken soup: thick & savoury with oat & cream. If you're looking for a comfort soup this winter, this is it
