The layout of the restaurant is really nice & the food was really good. However, everything regarding the cocktails & the wine did not satisfy for their prices : $18 for a glasss of wine for a Chianti that was not decanted, the bottle just opened, not decanted. Are the servers not aware of what a good wine makes? Can't they try it? I expressed that I thought the wine was too young & I was met with a blank face & a "I can give you another one if you want". That's not my issue. The restaurant prententiously showcases a few bottles of wine in the cellar & bottles going in the $500 & you're telling me the servers aren't able to help me correctly with my wine choice? Similar issue with a cocktail that did not meet basic requirements. Overall okay experience but being told "You have 6 minutes remaining, can I bring you the check?" leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. Please communicate proprely we had a table from this time to this time & I'll make sure to leave in good speed. Also, the hostess took other people's reservation before mine & my friend who arrived after me had the same issue. All of this doesn't equate to the picture the restaurant desperately wants to paint. This is my second time at this beautifully decorated restaurant. The ambiance is so chill & awesome. Jennifer, our waitress was an absolute delight who took care of us amazingly. The food, I went with fixed menu priced 49$, so I had grilled octopus salad, almond & bean crusted salmon & mini dessert of cream puff, matcha chocolate truffle & nata. My boyfriend had oysters, & grilled octopus with potatoes. Our dishes were paired with delicious wine of red & white. Every single dish was stunningly presented, evenly flavored, tasted very succulent. We had an excellent experience at Makro. 100% recommended!View more

Wonderful food & service. We were a large group & had a menu. The cocktails were pretty good & you have many wine choices. One of the best things one the menu is the octopus, the truffle mashed potatoes. Desserts were ok & not very delicate but felt more homey & appropriate for the cold weather.View more

Loved the experience! Definitely recommend Makro if you’re looking for a great dinner.
The service was excellent. Everyone was very attentive & waiters made sure we got the perfect wine pairing with our meal. Food came quick & waiters checked up on us regularly.
As for the food, delectable! We had the burrata appetizer - delicious. As for our main meals, we had the cod & the salmon. You can’t go wrong with fish at Makro. The sauces for each dish were in perfect harmony with the fish.
Atmosphere was great too. Music was pleasant & thankfully, not extremely loud. It was easy to entertain a conversation without running out of breath.View more
