chinese(18) cantonese(11) dishes(9) recommend(9) seafood(8) price(7) quality(6) soup(5) fresh(5) authentic(5) family(5) fried rice(4)The food was good & all the dishes came out around the same time. Unlike a previous reviewer, I did not notice any over saltiness in the food. I'm giving the food rating a 4 star since the taste is more or less the same as their competitors in the area The service is where they should improve. 1) when ordering, the waiter was constantly trying to upsell us. Despite telling her we wanted some simple, she acted like she was getting a sales commission. 2) unlike their nearby competitors, the dishes were served in smaller plates or larger plates that were only 70% full. It was very noticeable & puzzling since the ingredients in our dishes were not expensive. 3) they calculate tips on top of tax. The government is clamping down on this shortly & I hope they stop soon. 4) I asked if they had complementary dessert, they said yes. Minutes later, 1/2 a small bowl of red bean dessert was served & we were all supposed to share it In summary, on the surface, this looks like a family style restaurant, you want to help to be successful. The food was on par but, the portion size could be larger. However, multiple hints of greed & cost cutting erases any nostalgic feeling one might have from eating at a smaller family restaurant.
All the dishes taste okay, but they are a bit on the salty side. The flavors are not as good as what the Google reviews suggest. Probably because there are not many great Cantonese restaurants in Montreal, this place can still survive here. However, if this restaurant were to open in Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area, I think it would struggle to stay in business due to the high competition in the Cantonese restaurant scene in Ontario. The prices here are also relatively high compared to other restaurants. The service is not very good, to be honest. The waitress was quite pushy in recommending seafood dishes, even though we had already said two or three times that we were not ready or weren't interested at the moment. She still insisted on pushing the dishes she wanted us to order. While I do see that this restaurant has quite a few customers, I personally wouldn't come back again, especially since it's quite far from downtown. If I lived nearby, maybe I would, but I wouldn't recommend it as highly as the Google reviews do.
Best Chinese restaurant in QC.I love their food & staff. We will visit next week again to try peking ducks. So 😋 good!
Hidden gem!! I think I just visited the best Chinese restaurant in Montreal & Brossard.
From outside you might not even notice the place. Don't miss it, it's delicious cantonese & Chinese fair! Really good 😊 No diet coke 😅but everything else was great 👍
Ordered take our, not good, over cooked egg rolls, bland, & dark bits of chicken
Un vrai resto chinois tout simple, petit mais ho god, je n'ai jamais mangé goûteux du chinois. Amazing 🤩. Réservation obligatoire sinon vous attendez longtemps. Apportez votre vin bien sur. Inciter vos amis
My family & I absolutely adore Cantonese cuisine - this place is pretty far for me but genuinely I would recommend it to anyone looking to try a great plate of food. 10/10 would always recommend extremely delicious!!
