This is by far the best Iranian (fusion) restaurant in Montreal & one of the best in North America, ... don't miss he chance, ....
That thing they call it'Mille-feuille' is an persian adaptation of mille-feuille , which is the Bugatti of the desserts!, ... crunchy layers, delicious fresh cream, ... some pistachio on top, ..... just try it, ......
An Unforgettable Evening at Maison Inja Tonight, we celebrated a dear friend's birthday at Maison Inja, & the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance & elegant decor set the perfect tone for a memorable evening. I ordered the eggplant & lamb tahchin, & it was absolutely divine. The crispy, saffron-infused rice was beautifully layered with tender, flavorful lamb & melt-in-your-mouth eggplant. Every bite was rich, aromatic, & perfectly balanced-a true masterpiece of Persian cuisine. Beyond the incredible food, the service was outstanding. The staff was friendly, attentive, & genuinely made us feel welcome. They even helped ensure our birthday surprise went smoothly, adding to the joy of the evening. Maison Inja is more than just a restaurant-it's an experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply indulging in authentic Persian flavors, this place is a must-visit. I'll definitely be returning!
I had an amazing experience at this Persian restaurant. truly one of the best I've had in Montreal! The food was absolutely delicious, with outstanding quality & rich flavors. The portions were generous, more than enough for one person, making it a great value for the price. The ambiance was warm & authentic, making me feel right at home. The decor beautifully reflects Persian culture, adding to the overall experience. On top of that, the customer service was exceptional!! everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, & attentive. Everything was just perfect! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic & high-quality Persian dining experience. Can't wait to go back!
This place is a must for authentic Persian cuisine! The atmosphere is warm & inviting, the decor beautifully traditional yet modern, & the food & service are exceptional. Feels just like home! ☺️
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with a cozy & warm environment, & the food is aesthetically pleasing - but this is where the positives end. When you first sit down, you'll notice still or sparkling water bottles on the tables by default, which you'll be charged for if opened. The restaurant seems to employ every trick to extract maximum money from guests. They only bring the drink menu initially, claiming they want guests to order drinks first, & we had to wait 15 minutes to get the full menu. The appetizer portions were absolutely tiny, with less than a palm-sized portion of bread (which costs extra if you request more). The prices are very high, & unfortunately, the quality doesn't justify them. It's essentially an above-average place trying to charge fine dining prices. The rice dishes were heavily doused with rosewater, which completely masked every other flavor. The lamb shank was very tough, not soft & fall-off-the-bone as it should be. All the kebab dishes were disappointing since they don't have a real grill to cook them - they all had a gray color & were rather tough with occasional burn marks. The desserts, some of which weren't available, were quite underwhelming. Overall, if you've never had Persian food & mostly care about presentation & ambiance, you might be okay with this place. However, for anyone else, especially those familiar with Persian or even fusion Persian food, I suggest trying somewhere else, as the quality & prices don't match the aesthetics.
I had the pleasure of dining at Maison Inja with my colleagues, & we were all thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was simply amazing-warm, cozy, & welcoming, with a chic yet homey décor that made you feel right at ease. It truly felt like stepping into a beautifully designed Persian home. The food was an absolute delight. The menu was creative & unique, even for those familiar with Persian cuisine. Each dish was thoughtfully presented, with a modern touch that made us want to try everything. The flavors were incredible, showcasing a perfect balance between tradition & innovation. The service was equally impressive. The staff were kind, attentive, & always ready to help. Maison Inja is a gem that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. Thank you Zahra jaan for a fantastic evening-we'll definitely be back!
A hidden gem nestled in the heart of downtown Montreal, Inja offers a unique take on Persian cuisine that's unlike anything I've encountered elsewhere in Quebec. Despite visiting during an off-hour when the restaurant was empty, the atmosphere was absolutely enchanting, thanks to its gorgeous vintage decor & thoughtfully curated music. As someone relatively new to Afghan-inspired flavors, I found the dishes to be a revelation, with intricate & deeply layered tastes that felt both unfamiliar & captivating. My meal & drink, both saffron-forward, were unexpectedly addictive, leaving me craving more with each bite & sip. One thing to note: the portions are generously sized, so come hungry! For anyone seeking a fresh & exciting culinary experience in Montreal, Inja is a must-visit.
Amazing food, atmosphere & everything is halal! Highly recommend it! One of the best places for authentic Persian food in Montreal!
Maison Inja, located on Sherbrooke Street in Montreal, is a Persian restaurant with a charming & welcoming atmosphere that sets it apart. The ambiance is warm & stylish, making it a delightful place to enjoy a meal. Their menu features some unique Persian dishes, including a variety of TahChins, which are rice-based casseroles traditionally layered with different fillings. We tried the spinach & chicken TahChin & the kebab digi TahChin. While both dishes were tasty & enjoyable, they didn't stand out as particularly exceptional or memorable. Additionally, the pricing seemed a bit high compared to other Persian restaurants in the city, which may be something to consider if you're on a budget. However, the overall experience was positive thanks to the excellent service & the pleasant atmosphere. Maison Inja is worth visiting if you're looking to try some Persian dishes in a refined setting, but it may not be the best choice for those seeking a more budget-friendly option.
The food is absolutely amazing! I had been searching for a Persian restaurant in Montreal to invite my friends, & I'm so glad I found this spot. I was truly satisfied with everything, & my friends mentioned it felt like a great discovery.
This is definitely the best spot in montreal for trying persian cuisine. With tastiest food & warm environment. Also the service was perfect. Tahchin is absolutely recommended.
I tried the tahchin with eggplant, & it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were perfectly balanced, & the texture was spot-on. The ambiance was also very unique & special, making the dining experience even better. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy authentic & flavorful Persian cuisine.
Very delicious Persian food but don't serve traditional kebab (kubideh, lamb, etc.). Portions are generous & atmosphere is quaint & lively.
The ambience was very warm & inviting, with beautiful decor that perfectly complemented the Persian culture. The staff were absolutely lovely-welcoming, attentive, & always ready with a smile. The starters & main dishes were great. Each dish was a delightful blend of traditional flavors with innovative twists that made every bite a discovery. Their drinks were equally delightful, with a variety of refreshing, uniquely flavored options. Overall, this restaurant exceeded all expectations, combining delicious food, excellent service, & a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommended!
It's a very pricey Persian restaurant, but I don't think the service is worth the cost.
We had a very great evening there with wonderful hospitality, great atmosphere & delicious food. It was a wonderful experience. If you want experience Iranian food in Parisian atmosphere, with Persian hospitality, here is the best place in Montreal.
We visited Maison Inja in downtown Montreal for a special occasion, & it was the perfect choice. The venue is absolutely stunning, with beautifully thought-out decor that makes the experience feel extra special. The owner & the wait staff were warm, attentive, & always smiling, which added a personal touch to the evening. The food was exceptional-Persian fusion with bold, delicious flavors. I tried the Lubia Polo Tachin & Eggplant & Chicken Tachin, & both dishes were outstanding. The Persian tea & dessert were the perfect way to end the meal. The attention to detail in every aspect of the experience really stood out. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves great food in a charming setting. I'll definitely be going back!
Delicious Persian food in a wonderful setting! Definitely wanted to have one more piece of lamb for the Shishlik, for the pricepoint but nevertheless, had an amazing dinner. Thanks to Timeleft for introducing the place to me!
The food was really amazing. Called with almost no notice & they found a way to accommodate us. The decor has a mid century, Iranian aesthetic that is really nostalgic. The different variations of tahchin was really great. I brought my non-Iranian friends to introduce them to Persian cuisine & they were blown away!
