Restaurant Maison Indian Curry, located in Parc-Extension, offers both North and South authentic Indian cuisine. South Indian cuisine is rice based. Rice is combined with lentils to make wonderful dosas, idlis and vadas. These items are glorious and delicious besides being nourishing and digestible. The South Indian food is a brilliant blend of flavors, colors, seasoning (a little hotter than North India food), nutritional balance, fragrance, taste, and visual appeal. A typical North Indian meal would consist of chappatis or parantha (unleavened flat breads), pilafs, dals, curries all seasoned with fresh ingredients. Tandoori cooking is a north Indian specialty and famous all over the world. Tandoori chicken, naan, tandoori kebabs and shrimps are a hit at Maison Indian Curry (Indian Curry House). The Masala dosa(Indian crêpe made by stuffing a dosa with a lightly cooked filling of potatoes, fried onions and spices) is also amongst the best in Montreal. The authentic food, friendly service and cozy ambiance will have you going back to Maison Indian Curry on a regular basis.
Maison Indian Curry House draws broad praise for authentic Indian flavors, with butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, biryani, dal makhni, and naan repeatedly highlighted as standouts and portions that feel generous for the price. Dining in is described as warm and welcoming, while takeout can vary in quality with some dishes oversalted or lacking, though many still enjoy the overall menu. Service is frequently praised for friendliness and attentiveness, contributing to a reliable and comforting experience that makes this a favorite for families and regulars. Overall, it is viewed as a top Montreal option for Indian cuisine, delivering flavorful curries, good value, and a high level of satisfaction despite occasional inconsistencies.
Overall a decent experience with budget friendly options. Decent customer service & attention to detail. Recommended to family groups & students for gatherings!
Great experience! The food was delicious, full of rich flavors & perfectly spiced. The service was friendly & efficient, making us feel very welcome. Plus, the prices are very reasonable for the quality. Highly recommended!
Have been searching for a good Indian restaurant & I have found it. In the heart of the Indian community is this wonderful restaurant. Ordered the Chicken Biriyani & the Butter Chicken, I was not disappointed. The biryani's made with aromatic basmati rice with just the right amount of spices for my taste, not too strong but not bland either. The butter chicken has a delicious creamy sauce with chunks of chicken so soft that it melts in your mouth.
I have not tried other restaurants, but this one is worth visiting.
Amazing Indian food - have been there twice & intend to return whenever possible.
Only downside is the bad parking in the area which is no fault of the resto.
Keep up the amazing work!!!

First time I ordered I really like my food (had butter chicken, garlic naan & rice). This time, I ordered paneer, which I love... To portion was absolutely ridiculous. I had 6 tiny bits of paneer & 6 ounces of sauce. No vegetables, & definitely not enough paneer. 30$+ for rice, a plain man & 6 bits of paneer? That's a rip off.
Ordered the paneer karahi & it was so spicy I could not finish it, & I have a decent spice tolerance. There was no warning on the menu as with other spicy menu items. There should also be an option to select the spice level Besides that , the quality was decent
Our favourite restaurant! Everything is always delicious & prices are very reasonable. Although we live pretty far, we regularly make the long drive to eat our favourite dishes.
The food was mediocre, & the service left much to be desired. I ordered fish pakora, but when I pointed out that the order was incorrect, no action was taken. All I received was a simple apology.
