Restaurant Maison Indian Curry, located in Parc-Extension, offers both North and South authentic Indian cuisine. South Indian cuisine is rice based. Rice is combined with lentils to make wonderful dosas, idlis and vadas. These items are glorious and delicious besides being nourishing and digestible. The South Indian food is a brilliant blend of flavors, colors, seasoning (a little hotter than North India food), nutritional balance, fragrance, taste, and visual appeal. A typical North Indian meal would consist of chappatis or parantha (unleavened flat breads), pilafs, dals, curries all seasoned with fresh ingredients. Tandoori cooking is a north Indian specialty and famous all over the world. Tandoori chicken, naan, tandoori kebabs and shrimps are a hit at Maison Indian Curry (Indian Curry House). The Masala dosa(Indian crêpe made by stuffing a dosa with a lightly cooked filling of potatoes, fried onions and spices) is also amongst the best in Montreal. The authentic food, friendly service and cozy ambiance will have you going back to Maison Indian Curry on a regular basis.
Maison Indian Curry House draws broad praise for authentic Indian flavors, with butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, biryani, dal makhni, and naan repeatedly highlighted as standouts and portions that feel generous for the price. Dining in is described as warm and welcoming, while takeout can vary in quality with some dishes oversalted or lacking, though many still enjoy the overall menu. Service is frequently praised for friendliness and attentiveness, contributing to a reliable and comforting experience that makes this a favorite for families and regulars. Overall, it is viewed as a top Montreal option for Indian cuisine, delivering flavorful curries, good value, and a high level of satisfaction despite occasional inconsistencies.
Dahi vada & panner pakoda are really good & pani puri is okay. I did not like the main course at all (I had madras panner & garlic naan). I felt like the curry is not cooked well & even the garlic naan felt like a frozen one. I am really disappointed with the quantity they are serving. Although the prices are reasonable, the quantity is too less for the price.
Used to come here with my dad when i was younger, the food was great… keyword WAS.. now the chef must've retired or something. Food was absolutely horrendous
Ordered delivery on Friday night & the food was really good. The naan bread was fresh & still warm when it arrived (definitely one of the best parts!). I had the Tikka Masala & the hubby had the Butter Chicken, which had a nice spice kick to it. We also shared a side of rice, everything was flavourful & delicious.
We ordered kind of late & were super hungry, so no pictures this time - but we'll definitely be ordering again!
Amazing food, best Naan bread & amazing lamb korma as well as a Channa Samosa for starters. Really accommodating to big groups, we just called ahead for lunch & the service was great. Really recommend.
OMG the Chat papri was so fresh & authentic . If you love North Indian food this is the place . Authentic Delhi street food & curries are speciality. Bhathure channa dish is very much same we used to eat in India. Don't forget to taste their mango lassi.
Dine at this restaurant on January 1, 2025. I have been visiting since 2009 & have consistently been impressed by the exceptional service. The owners are friendly & attentive, & the food is consistently of the highest quality. They always welcome & appreciate customer feedback.
