Welcome to The House of Jazz (Maison du Jazz) in Laval! Our Montreal location has been a landmark of entertainment, cuisine, and history. Built by French Montrealer Georges Durst, House of Jazz has been a home to Canada’s finest Jazz musicians since 1981. We were a group of 60, served by only one waitress, which was clearly inadequate. Large group reservations should be better planned in advance. The food was inconsistent-some dishes were good, while others missed the mark. Additionally, there's a service charge for the entertainment, even if you're seated in a room with no access to the stage. While the ambiance & decor make this venue appealing, it's best suited for smaller groups of 2-6 people. Unfortunately, they are not equipped to handle larger events effectively. As a family that frequently hosts corporate gatherings, we were disappointed by this experience, as the potential for a great event space was undermined by poor execution.

Great food, good prices, great atmosphere & excellent music. The performers were really good & the place is so beautiful & clean. Had a 3 course menu & every single dish was delicious Definitely going back

We've visited this restaurant a few times & always enjoy the lively atmosphere & charming decor. The setting is perfect for a casual night out, & the live music definitely adds to the vibe. On this visit, however, the singer was a bit of a letdown compared to our previous experiences. We've had great performances in the past, but this one felt like the artist was still a novice, lacking the polish we were used to. The food was decent-not bad, but not outstanding either. One thing that stood out as odd, especially in a bilingual country, was that there were no English menus available. Overall, still a nice place to visit for the atmosphere, but we hope the music & menu options improve on our next visit.

J'avais l'habitude d'aller à celui à Montréal pour mon anniversaire, & ce, depuis quelques années. Puisqu'il est maintenant fermé, on réserve à celui-ci. La bouffe ça va, le service, ça va, mais pour l'ambiance j'ai été terriblement déçue! Ça s'appelle la Maison du jazz, donc en allant là-bas pour mon souper d'anniversaire je m'attendais à ce genre de musique... & bien non! C'était une soirée salsa! J'ai été tellement déçue que je n'y suis jamais retournée. C'est quoi ça sérieux

This restaurant is very special in its decor! It had, for me, a New Orleans atmosphere. The Bands a d signers are just very good. As for the service & food, I give it a 5 stars!

Wow quel belle endroit & les cotes levée dans mon top 3 & en plus à notre retour à la maison le resto nous contacte une erreur sur la facture de notre table un crédit de certificat cadeaux n'avait pas été appliquée (212,00$)MERCI pour l'honnêteté on reviendra très bientôt

Very disappointed with my experience. Went on the friday night to listen to good jazz music but country was playing & once the jazz band was supposed to come in, they had technical issue that took them 1h to fix... Had hair in my dessert & definitely not worth it to pay 10$/pers to hear no one play. Service was extremely slow, i had to ask for the dessert card, the bill, the machine to pay & etc. Definitely not the kind of service you expect when you spend more than 100$/pers.

The decor was pretty cool & there are different booths & sections with its own themes on the 2nd floor The music was just wayyy too loud I was trying to have a conversation with a friend but we could barely hear each other We had to shout & eventually we gave up & ate in silence just listening to the music The food itself was ok but for the price I was charged for? it was not anywhere near worth it! The service was also slow & they forgot to give me some items that was included with the meal & so I had to wave them back after awhile & by the time I received it I had already finished my meal. You also get charged a cover to enter & dine. This place would be a lot better if they would play some music during a certain time only or do 30min break so you can enjoy the atmosphere of the entire place & enjoy a decent meal with someone Would not recommend currently the way it is set up
