Built by French Montrealer Georges Durst, House of Jazz has been a home to Canada’s finest Jazz musicians since 1981. This place is phenomenal in every way possible. The ambiance in general was amazing from the performers, the unique decorations (especially the numerous chandeliers) & the service we received! House of Jazz was exactly what we needed to remind my friends & I how much we enjoyed being in the moment & surrounded by live music. I would also like to highlight that they were very generous by not putting too much ice in our drinks 🥂✨

Remontez le temps avec cette ambiance Jazz. La décoration & l'ambiance vous transportent littéralement dans un univers de paillettes d'antan. Le spectacle est magnifique & varié en sensations. Le service est impressionnant & les serveurs sont de vrais Appelons & Appoline 😁. Je recommande.

Adore cet endroit, on se croirait en Nouvelles Orleans. Le decor est magique. L'equipe est tres sympatique & la nourriture très bonne. Le SHOW etait fabuleux & l'ambiance survoltée. Le meme band repasse je crois autour de l'Halloween. Jly serai certain.

Went on july 6th for my bday ! I enjoyed my dinner. I love all types of music & performances so I was in my element! But this is not a place where you can invite anyone , especially if they are not fond of jazz or open minded... The food was ok. The drink was ok . Be careful with the 15$ band charge, they charge for each guests & that doesn't even cover the tips... In this economy, its a lil bit excessive for a none gastronomic restaurant. & restaurants with bands there's plenty like that in mtl & they dont charge for bands... Anyway, its a restaurant for special occasions but I'm not going to attend regularly... Nonetheless, I had fun!! The decor was amazing !!

Super soirée avec spectacle jazz. Beaucoup d'ambiance. Le decor kitsch est super réussi avec de multiples chandeliers & une boule disco qui nous mettent tout de suite à la fête. Grandes tables parfaites pour les groupes mais des sections avec des tables à 2 sont aussi disponibles. Les musiciens étaient incroyables. La nourriture était bien correcte, bonnes portions, servi chaud & de bonne qualité. Certaines tables autour de nous ont attendu longtemps avant d'être servi mais ont été compensés par un cadeau de la maison. Très belle expérience en général !

L'ambiance, la décoration & la musique méritent un solide 5 étoiles c'est vraiment un endroit magnifique. Nous y sommes allés un samedi soir pour souligner une fête, & on s'attendait à une belle soirée. Par contre, le service laisse à désirer. Malgré la tenue éclatante de la serveuse, son air était à désirer & personne n'est venu nous voir une seule fois pour savoir si tout allait bien ou si nous souhaitions autre chose à boire. Il fallait littéralement faire signe pour attirer l'attention, & le service était lent tout au long de la soirée. À la fin, environ 4 factures sur 6 comportaient des erreurs, ce qui a causé pas mal de confusion. Même à l'extérieur, quelqu'un s'en est rendu compte & a voulu revenir pour corriger. Bref, c'était assez compliqué… & il faisait très chaud en haut, ce qui n'a pas aidé à rendre l'expérience plus agréable.

Ça m'embêtais de faire la route jusqu'à Laval mais ça valait largement le coup je ne regrette pas! Tout le personnel dans exception a été parfait avec nous, souriant agréable & serviable. La nourriture est en conséquence & super bonne! L'ambiance est à couper le souffle le décor & les musiciens/chanteur sur scène incroyable bref magique! Je recommande pour passer une excellente soirée à 100%

Great place , great food, somptuous decor & ambiance. A bit pricy. I wouldn't charge cover if I order a meal even on Saturday night. Band was good & singer was great but hardly any jazz.

Wow wow wow. Where do I even begin. This is the single best jazz club I've ever had the opportunity to go to. The place is simply fabulous & looks like it's straight out of a movie of some kind. I was greeted by the owner & an employee & they accompanied me to my reservation spot. While we were going to the second floor where u was meant to enjoy my meal, I was able to take a quick glance around me & see a panoply of well decorated spaces with specific lights creating an even more interesting & jazzy atmosphere. I never would've thought a bright gem like that one could have been hiding right there in plain sight. We had originally made a reservation for 9 people & we had requested to be put in a little room. The room will be in the videos & it was gorgeous as well. I had been there before & never even knew that it existed. The staff came regularly to ensure we were all ready to order & just to see if there was anything they could help us with. The food took an average time of 27 minutes to arrive, & I must say that it is extremely impressive that it was done so quickly seeing as we had all ordered different kinds of meals & were still served at around the same time. My meal was well plated & the tastes simply embraced my tongue like a warm & nice hug. They were gentle & agressive, offering a wide array of various sensations & flavours which all complemented one another so perfectly. I was amazed.
One thing that is important to note is the price of your entry. It was 15$ more per person because we had to pay for the band & frankly I'd have paid them much more for how good they played. Then there's also something you must look at. Just make sure you are aware that the price of the shots are marked for individual shots & not for the whole round. One of my friends hadn't picked up on that little subtlety & was quite shocked once the bill arrived. Other than that, excellent everything. I'm super glad I got to be there & enjoy myself with my friends.

We had an amazing time at House of Jazz in Laval for a group party! The atmosphere was fantastic-live music set the perfect vibe for an unforgettable night. One Love Project was hosting the musician jam night, & the talent on stage was incredible. The mix of musicians kept things fresh & exciting, making for a truly special experience.
Beyond the music, the ambiance of the venue is something else! The chandeliers & unique decor give the place a vintage, upscale feel that makes it stand out. It's a setting that feels both elegant & lively, perfect for a night out.
The food & drinks did not disappoint! Their burger was absolutely delicious, & the drinks were well-crafted & hit the spot. The service was friendly & attentive, making sure our group had everything we needed.
If you're looking for a place with great live music, a one-of-a-kind atmosphere, & fantastic food & drinks, House of Jazz is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back!
