Welcome to The House of Jazz (Maison du Jazz) in Laval! Our Montreal location has been a landmark of entertainment, cuisine, and history. Built by French Montrealer Georges Durst, House of Jazz has been a home to Canada’s finest Jazz musicians since 1981. This place is phenomenal in every way possible. The ambiance in general was amazing from the performers, the unique decorations (especially the numerous chandeliers) & the service we received! House of Jazz was exactly what we needed to remind my friends & I how much we enjoyed being in the moment & surrounded by live music. I would also like to highlight that they were very generous by not putting too much ice in our drinks 🥂✨

J'y suis allée deux fois en 2025. Deux belles expériences, tant au niveau de la nourriture que de l'ambiance avec le spectacle. Aussi, le service a toujours été bon. Le souper du jour de l'an était excellent. Si vous voulez bien manger avec une bonne ambiance & que vous aimez le jazz, c'est la place.

Un très beau resto, super agréable, ambiance jazz feutré, très bonnes chanteuses & très bonne bouffe. Les points faibles...très très lents services , près de 1h45 avant d'avoir notre repas & le filet mignon était presque brûler. Très bruyant comme resto mais compréhensible vu le spectacle.

Remontez le temps avec cette ambiance Jazz. La décoration & l'ambiance vous transportent littéralement dans un univers de paillettes d'antan. Le spectacle est magnifique & varié en sensations. Le service est impressionnant & les serveurs sont de vrais Appelons & Appoline 😁. Je recommande.

Un bon souper avec spectacle de Jazz. Ce n'est pas la place pour une ambiance feutrée. Faut s'attendre à parler fort & chanter avec le band. Je n'ai pas été déçue de la nourriture & le service était très bien.

Un de mes restaurants préféré à Laval! Un incontournable pour une expérience hors du commun. Excellent bands de musique Jazz + Excellent service & nourriture & cocktails impeccable ! Je recommande cet endroit.

Nice ambiance but the jazz show we were anticipating was very disappointing. The band did covers of pop songs, not worth $15 imo. Service was slow, food was mediocre & a mandatory $2 coat check on top of it all was laughable.

Très belle soirée jazz, leur rib eye était un des meilleur que j'ai mangé. Une belle soirée amener votre date ou célébrer un anniversaire!

Went on july 6th for my bday ! I enjoyed my dinner. I love all types of music & performances so I was in my element! But this is not a place where you can invite anyone , especially if they are not fond of jazz or open minded... The food was ok. The drink was ok . Be careful with the 15$ band charge, they charge for each guests & that doesn't even cover the tips... In this economy, its a lil bit excessive for a none gastronomic restaurant. & restaurants with bands there's plenty like that in mtl & they dont charge for bands... Anyway, its a restaurant for special occasions but I'm not going to attend regularly... Nonetheless, I had fun!! The decor was amazing !!

The ambiance was nice plus the service was fairly quick. The food was not superb, we got the brisket but it came out a bit too salty for our liking. Overall a good place for listening to some Jazz & sipping on a bottle of wine.

Super soirée avec spectacle jazz. Beaucoup d'ambiance. Le decor kitsch est super réussi avec de multiples chandeliers & une boule disco qui nous mettent tout de suite à la fête. Grandes tables parfaites pour les groupes mais des sections avec des tables à 2 sont aussi disponibles. Les musiciens étaient incroyables. La nourriture était bien correcte, bonnes portions, servi chaud & de bonne qualité. Certaines tables autour de nous ont attendu longtemps avant d'être servi mais ont été compensés par un cadeau de la maison. Très belle expérience en général !

Mauvaise surprise. J'aime bien le menu de la Maison du Jazz, mais j'y suis allé pour un anniversaire. J'AI ÉTÉ FORCÉ DE MANGER CE QUE JE NE VOULAIS & PAS PAYER 53 dollars & 10 dollars supplémentaires pour la musique plus le service & les taxes. J'avais envie de manger le TARTARE DE SAUMON. & je n'ai pas pu manger, le menu de la fête était horrible ! ATTENTION ! J'ai fêté mon anniversaire là-bas ! Cependant, cet anniversaire en mai a été la pire surprise de ma vie !

This was our first time at the restaurant & will defined be the last. Food was of cafeteria quality & expensive (my husband & I paid 225$ for 2 course dinners & 2 drinks). The jazz was disappointing as it was very loud & not the soft jazz you could have a nice dinner with your partner while listening to it. We had to scream to hear each other. Shout out to Alex who was an amazing server, very knowledgeable & very enthusiastic about his job.

J'ai adoré fêter l'anniversaire de ma mère à la Maison du Jazz. Le parking est un peu difficile car très occupé un samedi soir mais la nourriture, le service, la musique & l'ambiance en valent largement la peine!!

We had a great time at The House of Jazz! The food was absolutely delicious & the cocktails were amazing - perfectly balanced & beautifully presented. Although our reservation wasn't honored as expected & we were seated upstairs in a more hidden area, the staff made it up to us with two rounds of shots, which we really appreciated.
The live show was truly impressive & full of energy, adding so much to the overall experience. That said, the space does feel a bit overwhelming - there's a lot going on visually, which can make it hard to fully relax & take it all in.
Still, the combination of great food, drinks, & music makes it a unique spot worth visiting!

This was my first time visiting House of Jazz & it was fantastic. I went there for a birthday celebration & we all had a super time. I especially loved the groovy vibes of Michelle Sweeney & her band. Her 3 sets included a melange of all genre of music. She even threw in some Latin beats that got you on your feet. The musicians surprised us also with their solos. What great voices!!! Michelle Sweeney's performance was simply outstanding.
