Welcome to The House of Jazz (Maison du Jazz) in Laval! Our Montreal location has been a landmark of entertainment, cuisine, and history. Built by French Montrealer Georges Durst, House of Jazz has been a home to Canada’s finest Jazz musicians since 1981. J'ai adoré,je suis chef de cuisine en France mon petit frère a voulu me faire connaître ce lieu qu'elle bonne idée j'ai pu visiter les cuisines rencontres un chef au top avec une belle équipe service super pas de la grande cuisine mais fait avec attention & professionalisme & des patrons au top un très très grand merci également au musicien quel soirée merci encore & encore

Returning 5 years later.... This place didn't disappoint. Food was great. Well priced alcohol menu. Service was prompt & courteous. Music was fantastic. A must try hidden gem in Laval. You find yourself just gazing at all the chandeliers & memorabilia. Definitely recommended.

La seule bonne choses est l'ambiance. Excellente musique, les musiciens sont incroyables. Cependant, le services est horrible. Pourquoi je suis arrivée vers 19h30 & nous avons attendue plus 1 heure pour recevoir une entrée & encore 1 heure de plus pour le repas principale.Ce n'est pas normal ! En plus, attendre 30minutes & plus pour avoir l'attention du serveur car nous voulions payer pour quitter. SVP régler ce problème, car ça ne fais aucun sens cette attente, surtout si c'est un vendredi soir. Est ce que je reviendrais pour manger Non mais OUI pour prendre un verre pour l'ambiance.

Everything was to our expectations, especially the food, the service, the ambiance. We would have wished a bit more of classical jazz but given the new year eve event, a more rocky music was expected. Overall very pleased.

We were not that please with the music (too much country style). There was long wait for the food once ordered. We also don't like to idea of mandatory gratuity; this should be up to us to decided if & how much to tip.
Aside of the above we enjoyed the time & your venue.

What the fantastic evening with spectacle at the House of Jazz in Laval. Dano Peace & The Upwright Jazz Band were fantastic!!!! The food was exceptional & the service wonderful. The food was expensive but we are not going every day & the food is worth the price. We spent our 40th wedding anniversary with wonderful people in a wonderful restaurant with great music & very good food. In short, an unforgettable evening. Thanks Elzbieta

The service was mediocre We had to ask for bread & butter it was served without plates the wait for the food was long even though we were some of the first to arrive
& the worst was that we went there for the Jazz & there was music but no Jazz sorry we were not happy

Everything was excellent, great food, great music, the shows are excellent. Walking distance from Montmorency metro, Laval, so you don't need to wait for a bus after getting out of the metro. Excellent service. Perfect place for a birthday party.

I/we have been to the House of Jazz many many times. Alex, one of your servers/manager always greets us with respect, kindness & incredible hospitality. We have sat in several locations from the times we have gone. We do find the second floor at the back where there is bar seating or below the bar seating on the second floor to be most suitable. The restaurant night club & musicians more so Michelle Sweeney are awesome. It is a real pleasure to find such a sweet place to have an enjoyable evening. Thank you

Le spectacle qui devait commencer à 20h a commencé seule vers 21:10h. Pas d'excuse de retard. Le service était très ordinaire, aucun sourire des 2 serveurs, un surtout avait un visage assez froid démontrant peu d'intérêt. Nous avons attendu au moins 50 min pour avoir le repas principal & durant les 4h où nous étions là, on nous a demandé une seule fois le breuvage au début du repas, ensuite jamais revenu demander si nous voulions boire autre chose (nous avions pris un verre), pas demander si nous voulions autre chose ou un dessert. Pour avoir payé plus de 260$ pour une facture de 2 personnes, j'avoue être un peu déçu. On nous suggère un % de tips min de 18% sur la machine qui se calcule sur le prix de la facture qui inclue le prix du spectacle. On n'a pas a "tipper" sur la charge du spectacle ! Spritz trop dilué goûtait le spritz dilué avec de l'eau. Les bonnes choses: mon assiette de saumon était bonne, l'endroit est superbe, belle clientèle, c'était propre, la chanteuse & les musiciens étaient bons,

The food & decor were fantastic. Waiters were very attentive.
The music was WAY TOO LOUD. To the point my Apple Watch was even giving me warning of potential permanent hearing loss. We had to yell in each other's ears to converse. Which, in the end, ruined the experience.
The band was mediocre at best. The music was NOT jazz even though the singer was pushing he was doing jazz. His voice was not appropriate for the type of songs they were doing either .
We were very disappointed in the experience & left with a pounding headache.

There was no Jazz music yesterday! Is was more like rock & roll & blues music. Also it was like amateur singer night! & the club charges $20 per person "cover charge"!

Was there last Saturday night for a surprise birthday dinner. The live band & music were excellent. It added to the vibe. Michelle & the band had the crowd going. It was definitely an experience.
The only negative was the service when it came to the food.
We were a rather large group & there was a lot of mix-up with the plates, which left some people with food they didn't order.
All in all, it was a great night, & the salmon tartare was excellent.
