Welcome to The House of Jazz (Maison du Jazz) in Laval! Our Montreal location has been a landmark of entertainment, cuisine, and history. Built by French Montrealer Georges Durst, House of Jazz has been a home to Canada’s finest Jazz musicians since 1981. We had an amazing time at House of Jazz in Laval for a group party! The atmosphere was fantastic-live music set the perfect vibe for an unforgettable night. One Love Project was hosting the musician jam night, & the talent on stage was incredible. The mix of musicians kept things fresh & exciting, making for a truly special experience.
Beyond the music, the ambiance of the venue is something else! The chandeliers & unique decor give the place a vintage, upscale feel that makes it stand out. It's a setting that feels both elegant & lively, perfect for a night out.
The food & drinks did not disappoint! Their burger was absolutely delicious, & the drinks were well-crafted & hit the spot. The service was friendly & attentive, making sure our group had everything we needed.
If you're looking for a place with great live music, a one-of-a-kind atmosphere, & fantastic food & drinks, House of Jazz is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back!

This place is beautiful, with New Orleans vibe! Amazing decor, great music (the band is outstanding). The food is not bad, would rate it 3/5 because you won't go there for the amazing food, you should go there for the ambiance, loud live band & outstanding decor. Great place to celebrate an event.

First time was in september & I was with a friend at the bar. We were served by Alex & he was adorable & often asked us if we needed anything. The food was delicious 10/10 We went again last week for a friend's birthday party & the experience was not so great. Service was slow, we waited almost 2 hours to get our food. We had to ask the server for almost everything, he rarely came to check up on us (although i get that it was busy). The final straw was the coatcheck lady being extremely rude to us on our way out. However, the place is very nice, beautiful for pictures, & the live music is very enjoyable. The artists are very talented & take requests which i find is very nice.

We've visited this restaurant a few times & always enjoy the lively atmosphere & charming decor. The setting is perfect for a casual night out, & the live music definitely adds to the vibe. On this visit, however, the singer was a bit of a letdown compared to our previous experiences. We've had great performances in the past, but this one felt like the artist was still a novice, lacking the polish we were used to. The food was decent-not bad, but not outstanding either. One thing that stood out as odd, especially in a bilingual country, was that there were no English menus available. Overall, still a nice place to visit for the atmosphere, but we hope the music & menu options improve on our next visit.

Very disappointed with my experience. Went on the friday night to listen to good jazz music but country was playing & once the jazz band was supposed to come in, they had technical issue that took them 1h to fix... Had hair in my dessert & definitely not worth it to pay 10$/pers to hear no one play. Service was extremely slow, i had to ask for the dessert card, the bill, the machine to pay & etc. Definitely not the kind of service you expect when you spend more than 100$/pers.

The decor was pretty cool & there are different booths & sections with its own themes on the 2nd floor The music was just wayyy too loud I was trying to have a conversation with a friend but we could barely hear each other We had to shout & eventually we gave up & ate in silence just listening to the music The food itself was ok but for the price I was charged for? it was not anywhere near worth it! The service was also slow & they forgot to give me some items that was included with the meal & so I had to wave them back after awhile & by the time I received it I had already finished my meal. You also get charged a cover to enter & dine. This place would be a lot better if they would play some music during a certain time only or do 30min break so you can enjoy the atmosphere of the entire place & enjoy a decent meal with someone Would not recommend currently the way it is set up

Came here to celebrate a birthday with 30-40 other people in which we all had been seated on the second floor which makes sense due to the size of the group. The food was pretty good but not the best. It's unfortunate some of our food was served somewhat on the colder side which wasn't nice. The steak was cooked well as well as the fish. The calamari was nice & crispy. The prices seem decent although a drop on the higher side especially for the fish.... Where things go a little downhill is, if a restaurant wants to have live music, please don't reflect the cost on the customers through a cover charge. I was surprised that it wasn't just put into the prices of the menu. Don't get me wrong, the music was great but just really really loud... I was seated on the second floor & i had to raise my voice to talk to people at the table.

J'y suis allé le 2024-05-25 pour un anniversaire, nous étions 4 personnes. Premièrement, il n'y a pas suffisamment de places de stationnement, donc je recommande d'arriver d'avance. Le restaurant est à 15min à pieds du métro Montmorency. Nous étions situés en haut, on a eu la banquette que nous avions demandée. Il y avait une toilette à côté de nous & c'était la seule pour tout l'étage, donc c'était souvent achalandé. Il y avait un problème avec la porte & les gens devaient littéralement foncer dans la porte pour qu'elle s'ouvre. Service : Le service est lent, très lent. C'est devenu une source de frustration très rapidement. J'avais lu plusieurs commentaires à ce sujet ici, & c'est vraiment le cas. Il y avait 3 serveurs pour l'étage, mais visiblement ce n'est pas suffisant. Le serveur était gentil, mais rien d'incroyable non plus. Nourriture : J'ai commandé une salade de betteraves en entrée qui était très bonne ainsi qu'un Bloody Caesar. Pour le plat principal, j'ai choisi le burger de Bison qui était vraiment excellent, j'ai été agréablement surpris. On a partagé des bouteilles de vin rouge pendant le souper. Tout le monde a aimé son repas. Spectacle : À noter que nous ne voyons pas le stage à partir de toutes les places dans le restaurant, ce qui était notre cas. Le son est très fort, ça devient impossible de maintenir une discussion à plusieurs pendant les performances. Les musiciens sont incroyables par contre & j'ai été agréablement surpris de la qualité des différentes prestations. De mon côté, c'était une expérience à vivre une fois, mais pour tous les points négatifs énumérés plus haut, je n'y retournerai pas.

It was my first time at House of Jazz, & I loved it. The décor is so amazing with all the chandeliers & lights. The staff were dressed in 20s-era clothes & they were so helpful & friendly. From appetizers to main dishes to drinks were all very delicious. It's pricey but worth it. Now, the musicians. They were so talented & entertaining. We sang along & danced along with them. My coworkers & I had a blast, & we will come back for sure.

If you are in Laval & you want to have a great time with fiends, you can't go wrong with The House of Jazz. Great place to get a good meal & some super entertainment... & the decor is really awesome! Had the the beef cheek, it was tender & moist! The tuna was also very good. Instead of going to a simple restaurant...have some live music the spice up your meal. Gotta go back for Latino music night.

Très belle endroit, les musiciens & la chanteuse Michelle Sweeney, était très bon. Si vous voulez avoir des places qui vous permette de voir le spectacle, réserver très à l avance. Seul désagrément, l' endroit est très bruyante ce qui empêche de bien profiter de la musique.
