First off, the good:
The atmosphere in the place is great & the view out onto their farm is fantastic. All the staff/servers were friendly & knowledgeable & most importantly enthusiastic about their mission - it was nice to see.
The food was solid, though nothing blew me away. The negative about the food is that there just was not enough per portion/price. They say to get three dishes per person if doing a la carte, but even that would not be enough & that is ~$80-$90 in pre-tax/tip food. I don't mind spending a lot at a restaurant, but I do like to leave & not be hungry.
The cocktails were certainly unique, & my partner & I both ordered some of the more'adventurous' ones, so in some ways we should have expected what we got. However, they were not really balanced & just did not taste good.
Overall, this was a solid night out with ambience & service that was excellent, food that was good but not great especially for the price, & drinks that could have been done without. Happy I went, but probably will not go back.
Moi j'ai trouvé l'expérience extra. Restaurant dans la nature avec une équipe qui travaille fort pour vous. Cela vous retrouvé dans votre assiette. Un resto vraiment super cool...
Tout était absolument délicieux, le personnel était chaleureux & il a bien pris le temps de nous expliquer l'histoire de ce lieu ainsi que les ingrédients que contenaient chacun des plats. Une expérience à vivre & à reproduire. Merci pour cette magnifique & savoureuse soirée.

The savoury dishes are bland. The rhubarb ginger dessert is ok. Miscommunication with the server, did not resolve well. Specified in the reservation for vegetarian option but nothing was explained during the introduction, neither the adjustment.
A short drive from Lac Tremblant, this farm to table restaurant is simply SUPERB.
Restaurant is based on a 600 acre farm with virtually all vegetables & herbs grown onsite & proteins sourced locally.
Our sampling menu was highlighted by the spring roll (cabbage & carrots, vinegar jelly, homemade rice wrapper), trout tartare (cilantro cream cheese, pickled pumpkin), mapo tofu & pork w/fresh focaccia, & bison tartare with smashed potatoes.

Das Maison de Soma ist weit mehr als nur ein Restaurant - es ist ein kulinarisches Erlebnis. Die Idee, die Küche Québecs mit internationalen Einflüssen zu verbinden, ist hier nicht nur ein Konzept, sondern wird mit viel Liebe zum Detail auf den Teller gebracht. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns der Fokus auf regionale Zutaten - viele davon stammen sogar aus eigenem Anbau. Das schmeckt man: Einige Gerichte waren regelrechte Geschmacksexplosionen!
Hier isst man nicht einfach nur, um satt zu werden - man genießt, entdeckt und erlebt. Die familiäre Atmosphäre und der überaus freundliche Service tragen zusätzlich dazu bei, dass man sich rundum wohlfühlt. Wenn es überhaupt etwas zu bemängeln gibt, dann höchstens die etwas hohe Lautstärke im Gastraum - aber das ist wirklich Jammern auf hohem Niveau.
Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung für alle, die gutes Essen lieben und sich gern überraschen lassen!
Maison de Soma was such an incredible discovery. The team really went the extra mile to make us feel at home, they were very welcoming & the atmosphere was nice & cosy with a little chic to it. We had the tasting menu & the food was absolutely delicious with seasonal ingredients from their farm. Definitely a must try!! Parking is easily accessible & it's a nice car/motorcycle ride getting there too! Everything was perfect! Thank you!
La maison de Soma a été une merveilleuse découverte. L'équipe a offert un service impeccable & au delà de nos attentes pour nous accueillir chez eux & immédiatement, nous nous sommes sentis les bienvenus.
L'ambiance est champêtre avec une touche de modernité & de chic. Le chef nous a concocté un menu dégustation des plus exquis avec des aliments de saison en provenance de leur ferme. Le stationnement est facilement accessible & une belle route pour s'y rendre pour les amateurs de voiture/moto. Bravo! Une expérience des plus réussies.
