The food is absolutely delicious (my favourite dishes are the shrimp bibimbap, seafood pancake & chicken), the staff is kind & pleasant to interact with, & the kimchi is the best I've had. I often eat at Chez Bong & I like buying their kimchi to take home. Although in a basement the atmosphere is cozy & laid-back. I highly recommend this resto if you're looking for something authentic & good customer service.
Authentic Bulgogi at its best! The flavors were incredible. Probably the best bibimbap in Montreal! The food is fresh, flavorful, & really satisfying. The owner & the staff are super nice & welcoming. Definitely recommend this place!
found a hidden gem in montreal china town if anybody wants to eat korean food with authentic taste must visit this place.
Delicious authentic Korean food. Kids loved it so much they wanted to come here 3 days in a row.
Very authentic Korean food, the fried chicken was perfect. Very kind waiter. Highly recommend.
An authentic Korean restaurant in Chinatown. Casual atmosphere serving good Korean dishes.
If you're looking for an authentic Korean restaurant in Montreal, this is a great option. It's located right in Chinatown, so it's quite easy to find & accessible by metro. The menu is diverse, featuring traditional Korean dishes like bibimbap & tempura. Prices are reasonable, & the owner & staff are very friendly.
Had high hopes for this place given the Google reviews but left feeling disappointed. We love trying Korean restaurants & I've heard this place mentioned quite a few times. The restaurant no longer offers banchan to reduce costs which was pretty surprising. Instead of offering it on request, they charge a few dollars per side dish which was incomprehensible to me. The food was good but the portions were small for the price point. The tteokbokki was pretty good & the pork & tofu stir fry was good but could have used more pork & tofu for the price. My husband wanted tempura instead of the pajeon & we were super disappointed - we ordered the mixed vegetable tempura & it was just a bunch of chopped veggies in pajeon batter served in clumps. It was mostly batter to veggie ratio which was a disappointment. Service was prompt but cold. The bathrooms were dirty & grim. I went in before leaving & watched a girl ahead of me & walk in & immediately out. I was surprised to see things like tempura & general Tao on the menu at a Korean place. Overall, I've tried over a dozen Korean places in the city & this has certainly been my least favourite to date. There are certainly better options near Guy Concordia with more authentic menus - this felt like a tourist spot as I don't understand the ratings here for what we got.
I had an amazing dining experience at the Korean restaurant! The food was outstanding, with authentic flavors that truly captured the essence of Korean cuisine. The service was top-notch, & the staff went above & beyond to make us feel welcome. We are group of 6 & came at lunch time, instead of refusing, they even give us more food. Moreover, the cozy ambiance added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone seeking a fantastic Korean dining experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
