This was an ABSOLUTE DELIGHT; a mini escape from the bustling streets! Budget friendly, prices are fair. Perfect place to settle & have a bite to eat or just nest for a bit & enjoy a warm beverage; comforted under mosaic lantern decor & cultural charm. You will feel right at home. It's warm with great vibes all around. The staff is very courteous & kind. We had the Butter Chicken plate which comes with rice OR naan. It is mentioned on the menu that you can add naan for an extra fee. Get BOTH; it's really worth it! Just be very clear in your communication to avoid any confusion. The Naan really melts in your mouth. I think it's the best we've had yet. Do not leave without trying their Kashmiri Chai (Served Warm) There is the option to have it cold or warm. While the food is usually great the service tonight was awful. The server was overwhelmed. I had to ask for cutlery multiple times. The table was not cleaned. I asked for napkins & cleaned it myself because the server didn't bother. Kashmiri Chai usually my favorite was served cold. I specifically asked for no sugar tea but was served tea with sugar. Very disappointing experience.View more

Really great Indian street food "chowpatti". The resto is Kashmiri (part in India, part in Pakistan), so there's a good mix of veg & non-veg, along with Kashmiri specialities like tea & desserts. I highly recommend the butter chicken poutine, great flavor, tasty sauce, good portions.View more

I went to ChaiShai today just to try out some snacks & the Dahi Puri was absolutely delicious, the presentation & taste was amazing. I also tried Kashmiri Chai for the first time & it was great. The staff is extremely polite, respectful & always talk to customers with a pleasent smile. I was visiting the area from Vancouver. The décor is nice. Very warm & low-key that I love. My one suggestion for improvement would be serving chai in actual mugs & not the disposable ones.
Tea always taste better that way & it is far more sustainable & environmentally friendly that having to throw cups out after single use.
I tried the Kashmiri chai & Masala chai. Prefer the masala chai.View more
